Join The Norristown Chorale for their Christmas and Holiday concert at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 10, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1809 Hoffmansville Road, Sassamansville. The chorus of 60 voices will offer a concert titled, “The Work of Christmas” in which the work of the characters in the Christmas story will be explored and what we can take away from that work and apply into our own lives, our families and our world.

Musical selections will range from sacred to secular, with highlights to include: “Angels We Have Heard on High”, “Do You Hear What I Hear”, and “I Saw Three Ships” to seasonal favorites such as “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town” and “Believe” from the movie The Polar Express.

Mr. Ross Boerner is the artistic director of the Chorale. Ross is a graduate of Boyertown High School and has been a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church since childhood. Currently, he is also the Director of Music Ministries at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in King of Prussia. Mr. Boerner has studied choral conducting with Dr. James Jordan at Westminster Choir College along with Dr. Giselle Wyers of the University of Washington and the three time Grammy Award winner, Dr. Vance George; Chorus Director Emeritus of the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra.

The Chorale is accompanied by Mrs. Laurie Mueller. She holds a bachelor’s degree in music from Lebanon Valley College, where she studied organ with the late Pierce Getz. She undertook further study at Westminster Choir College in organ, choral, and handbell areas. She has served as the director of music for churches on Long Island and here in Pennsylvania.
