Our Sunday Worship Services are 10:15 a.m., Sunday School 9:0 a.m., Contemporary Worship Service 8:00 a.m., the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. Please help a needy family this Christmas season by taking a tag from the Angel Tree, please drop off your gift by Sunday, December 10th. You do not need to wrap the gift. Wrapping Paper/Gift Bags can be left with the gift and please leave the tag with the gift also. Thank you for your participation in this very important project. A congregational meeting is scheduled for Sunday, December 10, immediately following the 10:15 service. The purpose of the meeting will be to review, and consider for approval, a proposed budget for 2018, and also to elect new council members. We look forward to seeing you there! POINSETTIAS - It is time to order Poinsettias for Christmas Eve. Price is $8.75 (Single-branched 6½” pot, 5 blooms +). Order envelopes are available in the Narthex. Please list your name, related info and specify color (Pink, Red or White). Order envelopes can be placed in offering plate or given to Ruth Brooke or Linda Ritter. Deadline for placing orders is Sunday December 10. CHRISTMAS DECORATING – Join in the fellowship as we decorate the church for Christmas on Wednesday, December 13th at 6:00 PM. Hot chocolate and cookies will be provided. Decorations will be removed on Monday, January 8th at 6:00 PM. CHRISTMAS CANTATA – “The Song Heard Round the World” will be presented on Sunday, December 17th at the 10:15 AM worship service, followed by a Potluck Luncheon. Snow Date will be January 7, 2018. A second presentation of the Cantata will be held at 3:00 PM on January 7th followed by refreshments. CHRISTMAS EVE – Please join us on Christmas Eve as we celebrate the birth of Christ. A 10:15 AM Worship Service will be held on this the 4th Sunday in Advent. Sunday’s activities begin at 8:30 with the Adult Sunday School Class. Come and join in the educational, fun, and lively discussions! Then, join us Sunday for our 9:30, a.m. service with Holy Communion. We welcome the second Sunday of Advent, as we await and prepare for the birth of the Christ Child. The second candle on the Advent Wreath will be lighted as we sing, “Sing a Song of Advent,” by Hopson. The Sr. Choir will sing, “Will We Know Him?” by Price/Besig. At Sunday’s service, we welcome Myles and Makenna Hess to our St. Luke Family as they are received through the sacrament of holy baptism. A brief congregational meeting will be held following worship for the purpose of electing members to Congregation Council. Worship and Music Committee will meet Monday evening at 6:00, p.m. The Cherub Choir will rehearse Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. Property Committee will also meet at 6:30, p.m. The Senior Breakfast Group will meet Wednesday morning at 8:00, a.m. at Saville’s. Come join in the fun, food, and fellowship! Following breakfast, join in the fun as some breakfast group members go to St. Luke to decorate the Chrismon Tree in the sanctuary. The Community Clothing Rack will be open on Wednesday from 1-4 p.m. as a time of contributions and clothing distribution. This is truly a ministry we are so blessed to have at St. Luke. The bell choir will rehearse Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m., and the Sr. Choir will rehearse at 7:30, p.m. The Community Clothing Rack will again be open Thursday night from 6:008:00 p.m. for distribution of clothes. Mark your calendars for our upcoming Relay for Life Santa Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, December 9th from 8-11 am. Santa will arrive at 9 am. This is an all you can eat event and the cost is a donation of your choice to our Relay for Life Team: Calvary United Cancer Crusaders. On Sunday, December 10th join us at 10:15 am for The Second Sunday in Advent Worship Service led by Pastor Linda. Following worship we will be caroling to our homebound friends, all are invited.
