Jan. 1 First Day Hike with your Pet:
To be held from 10-12 p.m. at Antietam Lake Park, Angora Road Parking Area. The hike will be about two hours in length, and there will be some hills. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash and good with other dogs. Dress appropriately for the weather. Co-sponsored with Township of Spring Parks and Recreation, this program is presented by the Berks County Parks and Recreation Department. Holiday Lights at Gring’s Mill: Wednesdays through Sundays, Dec. 1-30, from 6-9 p.m. Gring’s Mill Recreation Area, Wyomissing; $5 parking. Visit Berks County’s favorite park decorated for the holidays Wednesdays through Sundays in December. Walk through our serene country-setting, with thousands of lights illuminating the park landscaping and historic buildings. Warm up in the barn to live entertainment each night, visit with Santa or stop by the popular model train display. Refreshments and snacks available.
