The congregation will participate in the Martin Luther King Day community service being held at New Hanover United Methodist Church at 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 15. Friends for Life is sponsoring a bus to Washington D.C. for the March for Life on Friday, January 19. The bus will depart Shepherd of the Hills Church at 6:00 a.m. and return approximately 10:00 p.m. The cost is $25 per person. Contact the church to register: 610754-6446. Sunday’s activities begin at 8:30 with the Adult Sunday School Class. Come and join in the educational, fun, and lively discussions! Then, join us Sunday for our 9:30, a.m. service with Holy Communion. During the service, the choir will sing, “God is Calling Us,” by Sleeth. On Monday, the Church Office will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. Please consider some community service work on this special day! On Tuesday, the Cherub Choir will meet at 6:30, p.m. On Wednesday, the Community Clothing Rack will be open for distribution from 1:00-4:00, p.m. This is a wonderful outreach ministry! Wednesday evening, the handbell choir will rehearse at 6:30, and the Sr. Choir will rehearse at 7:30. It’s a new year….St. Luke Church welcomes you! We invite you to join us on the Second Sunday of Epiphany on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at our morning worship hours of 7:45 and 10:15 a.m. Pastor Matthew Ollikainen will lead the congregation in the worship service, deliver the message for the day, as well as the Children’s Sermon. The Blessing of the Prayer Shawls and Quilts will be done during both services. Confirmation will be held at 9:00 a.m. in room I. The Edu-Worship service will be held at 9:00 a.m. in the parlor.
