BEARS SWEEP » Boyertown took both ends of a PAC meet with Upper Merion and Upper Perkiomen. The Bears topped the Vikings 108-75 and the Indians 9866.

Tye Oliver was a two-race winner for Boyertown, taking the 200 IM in 2:03.29 and the 100 fly 54.40, Nolan Benner made a similar showing with his firsts in the 100 free (49.86) and 100 breast (1:03.72),

BEARS WIN PAIR » Boyertown swept both ends of its PAC meet with Upper Merion and Upper Perkiomen. The Bears handled the Vikings 204-55 and the Indians 95-73.

Boyertown got individual firsts from Julia Clark (200 free, 2:08.95), Hannah Shaner (200 IM, 2:18.92), Angie Nelson (50 free, 26.89), Carolyn Cooley (diving, 219.95 points), Grace McKee (100 fly, 59.59), Gabrielle McKee (100 free, 56.04) and Teresa Draves (500 free 5:34.33).

Noel Fresa was a two-event winner for UP, taking the 200 free (2:03.02) and the 100 back (1:03.09).

PERKIOMEN VALLEY 57, BOYERTOWN 42 » The down-low dominance of Megan Jonassen and Taylor Hamm led the Vikings (61, 9-1, 13-4) to a PAC Liberty win over the Bears (2-5, 4-5, 7-9) on Jan. 23.

The duo combined for 42 of PV’s 57 points, Jonassen netting a game-high 25 followed by Hamm’s 17. Alex Blomstrom chipped in 11.

Kylie Webb scored 16 for Boyertown, which was within 20-17 after the first quarter but was held to single-digit scoring in the second and third quarters.

BOYERTOWN 46, OWEN J. ROBERTS

30» Julia Smith and Avery Sweisfort both scored in double figures as the Bears beat the Wildcats in a PAC Liberty Division matchup on Jan. 25.

Smith scored a game-high 13 points while Sweisfort was right behind with 10 points as Boyertown outscored OJR in each quarter. Olivia Leclaire scored a team-high eight points in the loss while Brooke Greenawald added six.

PERKIOMEN VALLEY 50, BOYERTOWN 44 » Tyler Strechay headed a trio of double-figure scorers that fueled the Vikings’ PAC Liberty Division victory over the Bears on Jan. 23.

Strechay’s 15 counters were good for game scoring honors, and he was followed by teammates Dante Graves (12) points and Connor McShea (10). Boyertown was led by Jerry Kapp’s 14 points and another 13 from Zach Benning.

SOUDERTON 52, BOYERTOWN 43

» Kavi Ramchandan­i scored a game-high 22 points to lift the Big Red over the Bears in a nonconfere­nce matchup on Jan. 25.

Souderton took a 24-20 lead into the half and expanded on it with a 14-8 advantage in the third quarter. Jerry Kapp led Boyertown with 16 points while Zach Benning added 10.

OWEN J. ROBERTS 56, BOYERTOWN

52» Keyed by Shyheed May’s 18-point showing, the Wildcats held off the Bears to come away with the PAC Liberty Division victory on Jan. 26.

Roberts also got 12 from Dawson Stuart as it saw Boyertown cut its 28-19 halftime lead to a pair (37-35) by the end of the third quarter. The Bears’ scoring was topped by Jerry Kapp’s game-high 20, Aarick Salata’s 11 and Zach Benning’s 10.
