Shepherd of the Hills Church

Bally Mennonite Church

Bally Mennonite Church will be serving a Pancake breakfast, including pancakes, French toast, sausage, scrapple, OJ, tea, & coffee in the Church Fellowship hall on April 14 from 7 to 11 a.m. The cost is a donation. St. Luke Lutheran Church

First, please remember to turn your clocks AHEAD one hour before going to bed Saturday night! Sunday’s activities begin at 8:30 with the Adult Sunday School Class. Come and join in the educationa­l, fun, and lively discussion­s!

Then, join us Sunday for our 9:30 a.m. service for the fourth Sunday in Lent. Holy Communion will be celebrated. The theme of the service will be, “Least of These,” and the Senior Choir will sing, “God So Loved the World,” by Stainer. The handbell choir will ring, “In the Garden.”

J.A.M. (Jesus and Me) will meet at 9:30 a.m., also. The theme of this class will be “The Light of the World.”

Following worship, the Adult Forum will meet in Memorial Hall. The focus of this session will be Funeral Planning: “Scriptures of Hope and Promise.”

Sunday evening, the Youth Group will meet at 6 p.m. for dinner and worship planning.

On Tuesday, the Cherub Choir will meet at 6:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, the Community Clothing Rack will be open for distributi­on from 1-4 p.m. This is a wonderful outreach ministry! On Wednesday evenings, please join us for Soup Supper at 6 p.m. The handbell choir will rehearse at 6:30.

The midweek Lenten service will begin on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. We will use “Holden Evening Prayer.” The message will focus on “Purple Cloth.” Sr. Choir will rehearse following the service.

All invtied on March 17 at 7 p.m. in sanctuary, as St. Luke member Bob Ballantyne and his son, Scott, present an informativ­e and inspiratio­nal program called “Keysstrong: Conchering Irma.” The Ballantyne­s have been fly fishing in the Florida Keys for 16 years. When they went this past January, they experience­d the rebuilding of the area following damage created by Hurricane Irma. Followed by fellowship and refreshmen­t by Nancy Ballantyne in Memorial Hall. Admission is free, but a freewill offering will be collected. To attend call 610367-9738.

On Tuesday, the Finance committee will meet at 7:30 p.m. in room B. We will hold a mid-week Lenten service on March 14 at 7 p.m. in the parlor. The theme of the Lent service that evening will be Salvation freely offered to all. Those serving at the mid-week Lent service are Greeter/Ushers Kay and Jim Barr. On March 15 at 6:30 p.m., Junior Troop #1730 and Cadette Troop #1994 will meet in the social hall. Then at 7 p.m. that evening, God on Tap will be held at the Bally Hotel. Boy Scout Troop 511 will sponsor Hoagie Sales March through May, 3rd Tuesday of the month. Place orders on the 2nd Tuesday. Ham, turkey, Italian or cheese— lettuce, onion, tomato, sides hot peppers or sweet peppers, Italian or mayo packets. Contact Kitty Isett. Pick up will be at the old store every month.
