New Morgantown Pet Expo to debut at Morgantown Center

March 24 to 25 event is kid friendly, pet friendly

Family Pet Shows, the producers of the Greater Philadelph­ia and Lehigh Valley Pet Expos, are bringing the Morgantown Pet Expo to the Morgantown Center on March 24 and 25. This is a new location and new show for the Morgantown area, but the same producers that hosted the very popular Reading Pet Expo.

“We are so excited to be back in Berks County where we produced the Reading Pet Expo until the Expo Center closed. Our Morgantown Pet Expo is featuring new animals attraction­s and acts perfect for the animal lover at any age,” said show organizer Karen Garetano of Family Pet Shows. “New to our shows this year is Lure Coursing and dogs love to fly around the course – and it is big hit for spectators. Pet parents can try the course with their own dog! We are happy to once again bring new entertainm­ent, educationa­l exhibits, exotic pets, local animal rescue groups and tons of shopping of new pet items to Morgantown.”

Kids and adults alike will love this show watching the incredible pet acts and visiting the many educationa­l animal and wildlife exhibits. The show is also pet friendly, pet owners can bring their own leashed and well-behaved pets with them to enjoy the show. Pet parents can shop throughout the expo at many vendor booths, meet adoptable pets, learn from veterinari­ans and groomers, and see many new pet products on the market.

Attendees can expect to be wowed by acrobatic dogs and dogs flying through the new lure course, rabbit hopping, exotic animals, the rainforest reptile shows, butterflie­s, cat show, petting zoo and much more!

Pet entertaini­ng acts and features include Dog Lovers Day Lure Course; Rabbit Hopping, Guinea Pig Agility; TICA Championsh­ip Cat Show; Gail Mirabella and The Dynamo Dogs Variety Act; Rainforest Reptile Show; Butterfly Experience; PiggyVilla; and Adoptable Pets.

The pet expo is expected to bring thousands of people throughout the weekend and features pet vendors offering many pet items and supplies for sale, lots of fun, unique and educationa­l entertainm­ent programs, and many pet profession­als from right here in Morgantown and from around the country. From Alpacas, birds, ferrets, dogs and cats to exotic wildlife – the pet expo has it all under one roof!

Dennis and Karen Garetano, the show organizers, also allow animal rescue groups that are official non-for-profit organizati­ons to have a free space at the event, offering the public informatio­n, education on responsibl­e pet ownership and even have adoptable pets on site.

Attendees are welcome to bring their own pets to enjoy the show, however they must be must leashed, well behaved and up to date on vaccinatio­ns and their owners must fill out a waiver upon arrival at the show.
