Toastmasters can give you the con­fi­dence and skills you need to ex­press your­self ef­fec­tively in any sit­u­a­tion. Whether you are a pro­fes­sional, stu­dent, par­ent or re­tired, Toastmasters is the most ef­fi­cient, en­joy­able and af­ford­able way of gain­ing great com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills.

The lo­cal Toastmasters club, Koinonia Speak­ers, is a fun and friendly group that strives to con­tribute to each mem­ber’s devel­op­ment as speak­ers and lead­ers through fel­low­ship, shar­ing, joint par­tic­i­pa­tion and com­pas­sion­ate en­cour­age­ment. Speak­ing ex­pe­ri­ences of club mem­bers range from be­gin­ners and novices all the way to Dis­tin­guished Toastmasters; this di­ver­sity helps ev­ery­one to con­tribute and im­prove.

The Gilbertsville-area club is hold­ing an Open House at 7:00 p.m. on Tues­day, April 17, at New Hanover United Methodist Church, 2211 Swamp Pike in Gilbertsville. The club is open to any­one in the com­mu­nity who wishes to par­tic­i­pate, re­gard­less of busi­ness or re­li­gious af­fil­i­a­tion.
