Shepherd of the Hills Church 527 HOFFMANSVILLE ROAD, BECHTELSVILLE
Mission trip participants will return Saturday morning. They will report on their trip at Sunday worship services.
Boy Scouts meet Monday at 7 p.m. AA groups meet at the church on Wednesdays at 8 p.m., Thursdays at 12:15 p.m. and Saturdays at 10 a.m. Al Anon meets in the church on Tuesdays at 8 p.m.
Christ Lutheran Church, Niantic 222 NIANTIC ROAD, BARTO
Worship with us on the Ninth Sunday after Pentecost on July 22 at an Outdoor Worship Service at the Congo Road Open Space beginning at 9 a.m. with light refreshments. Then at 9:30 a.m., we will have a service of Lessons & Carols with Holy Communion with Bridge Pastor; Pastor David Penman preaching. Immediately following the service, we will have our church picnic at the Open Space with food and games for all. Members/guests are encouraged to provide picnic food to be shared by all in attendance. Those ministering at this 9:30 a.m. outdoor service are Acolyte; none required for the morning, Lector; Kathy Bittner, and Greeters/Ushers; Ginnie Wilkinson and Dale Reichert.
The Church Council will meet on July 24 at 7 p.m. in the parlor.
Trinity Lutheran Church 1749 S. MAIN STREET, BECHTELSVILLE
We are currently on our summer worship schedule, with worship each Sunday at 9AM. There will be no 8AM services or Sunday School during the months of July and August. July 22 is the 9th Sunday after Pentecost, with 9 a.m. Worship Service. Congratulations and God’s blessings upon the marriage of Daniel and Victoria (Rowland) Horan, was married on June 30. Victoria is the daughter of Chuck & Virginia Rowland.
This year’s Reading Phillies Game will be July 21. Gates open at 4:30 p.m. Game at 6:35 p.m. Price includes All You Can Eat Buffet. There is a sign-up sheet posted in the Narthex.
Splash Canyon Vacation Bible School is July 23 to 27, 6:15-8:30 p.m., for children ages 3 to sixth grade. We’ll have stories, music, crafts, and much more. VBS registration forms are on the VBS bulletin board in the Parish Hall. For any other information contact Sharon Renninger.
Support our VBS with snack items and school supplies! Please see the sign-up sheet on the VBS bulletin board in the parish hall for snack items needed. We are also collecting school supplies for the children on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. In addition, there are envelopes for monetary donations towards VBS expenses. Thank you for contributing in any way you can!
