County to present concert, storytime, poetry programs

Concert: The Landsharks

Back by popular demand this summer The Landsharks perform in concert Gring’s Mill Recreation Area, 2083 Tulpehocke­n Road in Wyomissing, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Aug. 9. Calling all parrothead­s! This night of Jimmy Buffett music will feel like one big beach party. The Landsharks play all styles of music including, Rock, Rock ‘N Roll, Top 40, Dance Music, Party Music, and music from just about all styles from all time periods. No rain date. SUP Float & Concert

Enjoy a concert while floating on a SUP, paddling around the Tully or just anchor up and float while listening to some Jimmy Buffet or beach music on Aug. 8. Board, paddle and life vest provided by Aqua Om Paddle. No rain date. This event is limited to 16 one-hour spots (6-7 p.m., or 7-8 p.m.). The cost is $10 per person, and is appropriat­e for ages 12 years and up. Pre-registrati­on and payment due by Aug. 1 to 610374-2944.

Storytime at the Heritage Center

Join us as we learn and explore all about canals at Storytime at the Heritage Center held at the Berks County Heritage Center, 1102 Red Bridge Road, Reading (Bern Township) from 10 to 11 a.m. on Aug. 8.
