Brinton Lodge to celebrate Halloween with ghost tours, more.
In the spirit of Halloween, Brinton Lodge will be offering two ghost tours this October.
The Free Love Valley Ghost Tour, new for this year, explores the true events of the Battle Axe movement, a religious cult that settled nearby in the 1800s. Brinton Lodge will also offer Candlelight Ghost Tours, offering people an opportunity for their own close encounter with the spirits who haunt there.
The Free Love Valley Ghost Tour is a bus tour through the nearby area once known as Free Love Valley, named for a religious cult in the 1800s that tore the community apart with their unorthodox beliefs and left behind a legacy of broken hearts and vengeful spirits.
The tour begins and ends at Brinton Lodge and pauses at a number of haunted sites that were part of this strange but true story. This tour is offered Sundays from Oct. 7 to Nov. 4. Tickets are $25 per person.
The Ghost Tour of Brinton Lodge is a candlelight tour of the 300-year-old mansion, where people will hear the ghost stories that have accumulated over the course of its colorful history, uncover who might be haunting the building and why, and use divining rods to communicate with the spirits. This tour is offered Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from Oct. 5 to Nov. 10. Tickets are $20 per person.
Hidden River Brewing Company’s third annual Halloween Masquerade Bash will take place at Brinton Lodge on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. The ticketed event will include a music performance by Tin Bird Choir, a tarot card reader, a magician, hors d’oeuvres and more, all set within the hauntingly beautiful rooms of Brinton Lodge.
Tickets can be purchased online at www.brintonlodge.com or in person at Hidden River Brewing Company. For more information, the public can call 610-572-7121 or visit www. brintonlodge.com.
