St. Luke Lutheran Church, 35 Wilson Ave., Gilbertsville

Our 8:30 a.m. Bible Study will be held Sunday. We will meet to explore the lectionary readings of the day.

Join us at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday for worship. On Sunday we observe the third Sunday in Advent. The third candle in the Advent wreath will be lighted, and the choir will present “Harold,” a Christmas musical, during the sermon time. Featured in the musical will be Michael Romasco and Pam Ferraro. Emily Geiger will play “Ode to Joy” on her saxophone during the offertory.

JAM (Jesus and Me) class – The participants will sit with their families in church until after “Time for the Children.” Then, they will go to JAM Class, and return for a blessing or communion.

Youth Choir will meet to rehearse after the service.

The Adult Forum will meet following the service to discuss “The Incarnation, in the book they’re studying – “Lutheran Questions and Lutheran Answers” by Martin E. Marty.

The Senior Breakfast Group will meet Wednesday morning at 8 a.m. at Saville’s, following by decorating the Tree in the sanctuary at St. Luke. Please come to help with this project. You don’t need to be a part of the Senior Breakfast Group to help!

The Community Clothing Rack will be open Wednesday from 1-4 p.m. for clothing distribution.

Handbell choir will rehearse Wednesday at 6:30 p.m., and the Senior Choir will rehearse at 7:30 p.m.
