Girls basketball

POTTSGROVE 51, BOYERTOWN 48 >> Though the Bears forced things into overtime, the Falcons came up bigger in the extra period to get the victory in this PAC divisional crossover game.

Riley Simon scored a game-high 16 points for Pottsgrove, which held a 9-6 scoring edge in the OT frame. Ashley Kapp and Amber Marburger shared the scoring lead for Boyertown, each with 13 points. SPRING-FORD 72, POTTSTOWN 44 >> Lucy Olsen hit for a game-high 17 points to lead the Rams past the Trojans in their PAC divisional crossover game.

Cassie Marte chipped in with another 10 to help Spring-Ford open a 47-13 lead in the first half. Trinek Watson hit for 11 points to lead Pottstown. OWEN J. ROBERTS 54, BOYERTOWN 41 >> Olivia LeClaire had 20 points and Diana Rantz 15 to lead the Wildcats past the Bears in PAC Liberty Division play.

Ashley Kapp led Boyertown with 13 points, including three 3-pointers. The Bears led 26-20 after the first half, but the Wildcats used a 16-3 third quarter to pull away. POTTSGROVE 32, POPE JOHN

PAUL II 30 >> With a 12-7 edge in fourth-quarter scoring, the Falcons erased the Golden Panthers’ early lead and pulled out a close victory in their PAC Frontier Division pairing.

Riley Simon scored 10 points — the highlight a free throw with four seconds left — to finish as both the game’s offensive leader and lone player to hit double figures. Elise Sylvester, who tied the game at 3030 by making a pair of foul shots, and Tess Crossan had nine points apiece to lead PJP. POTTSGROVE 63, UPPER

PERKIOMEN 20 >> Sydney Mowery scored 12 points to lead the Falcons (9-3, 13-4) over the Indians (0-11, 1-15).

Sierra Potts and Rachel Ludwig kicked in with a respective nine and eight points to help Pottsgrove jumpe to a 20-point lead after a quarter and built on the lead from there. Kaitlyn Mundy netted seven points to emerge as UP’s leading scorer.

Boys basketball

SPRING-FORD 66, POTTSTOWN 48 >> Robert Bobeck hit for 22 points to lead the Rams over the Trojans in their PAC divisional crossover game.

Tyler Scilingo kicked in with another 11 to help Spring-Ford open a 33-13 halftime lead after going up in the first quarter, 17-2. Floyd Dashiell scored 19 to lead Pottstown, with Donovan Towson adding 10. POTTSGROVE 63, BOYERTOWN 58 >> Led by Manny Clark, who finished with 21 points, Pottsgrove scored 34 points in the fourth to erase a 49-29 deficit at the end of three quarters.

Khaliym Smith chipped in 15 points, and Justin Robinson scored 12 points. Aarick Salata led Boyertown with 19 points. OWEN J ROBERTS 64, BOYERTOWN 52 >> Ryan Sayers headed a trio of double-figure scorers that fueled the Owen J. Roberts boys basketball team’s offense in their 64-52 PAC Liberty Division victory over Boyertown Thursday.

Sayers hit for a gamehigh 24 points to key Owen J, which got 14 from Jacob Demech and 12 from Nick Massa. Boyertown’s offensive stars were Aarick Salata with 15 points and Hunter Borgmann with 13. POTTSGROVE 54, UPPER PERKIOMEN 43 >> Khaliym Clark headed a trio of double-figure scorers that fueled the Falcons’ PAC Frontier Division victory over the Indians.

Smith scored 14 points to lead a balanced offense that included 13 by Jimai Springfiel­d, and 12 by Manny Clark. Hunter Flack got game scoring honors for UP with his 16-point outing. SPRING-FORD 69, BOYERTOWN 48 >> The Rams jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, handling the Bears in PAC Liberty Division play.

The Rams had three players in double digits, led by Noah Baker with 19 points. Robert Bobeck followed with 15 and Tyler Scilingo 13 for Spring-Ford, with Boyertown’s offense headed by Dawson Smith (11 points) and Hunter Borgmann (10).

Wrestling

SPRING-FORD 44, BOYERTOWN 15 >> Wednesday at Spring-Ford, Louis Carbajal (195), Sean Brogan (285), Shane Reynolds (113), Jack McGill (138) and Joey Milano (182) won by pin while Zach Needles recorded a technical fall at 145 for the Rams (3-0 PAC Liberty, 13-2 overall). For Boyertown, Brett Breidor and Preston Fox were one-point winners at 152 and 160, respective­ly, while freshman Alan Alexander edged former PAC champion Chase Smith, 137, at 170. POTTSTOWN 49, UPPER MERION 15 >> The Trojans scored five pins on the way to their PAC Frontier Division victory over the Vikings.

Kyleaf July (138), Emanuel Tamayo (152), Jamaal Pratt (170), Zachary Griffin (182) and Destyn Snyder (285) all won their bouts on falls. Demond Thompson chipped in with a major decision at 132 for Pottstown.

Boys swimming

BOYERTOWN 99, POPE JOHN PAUL II 47 >> The Bears got six individual first-place finishes from a similar number of swimmers in their PAC meet with the Golden Panthers.

Winning for Boyertown were Tye Oliver in the 200 free (1:52.88), Nolan Benner in the 200 IM (2:12.10), Conner Stoudt in the 50 free (24.76), Aaron Keifer in the 100 fly (58.57), Stephen Cisik in the 100 free (52.81) and Noah Vivian in the 500 free (5:28.59).

Girls swimming

BOYERTOWN 97, POPE JOHN PAUL II 62 >> Emily Drabick won two individual races to key the Bears’ PAC victory over the Golden Panthers.

Drabick headed the 200 IM (2:20.63) and 500 free (5:46.66).
