You know this as Sunday School. It’s about gathering and sharing, learning and listening, questionin­g and wrestling. It’s about going deeper and forming (or re-forming, or informing) our faith. Currently, the Adult Faith Formation class is exploring the Parables of Jesus. The Confirmati­on Class is delving into who Jesus is for us today. All are invited to join us! David Penman will lead the congregati­on in a Holy Communion worship service, present the Children’s Sermon, as well as present the Sermon for the morning. Confirmati­on will be held at 7:45 a.m. in room I. Sunday School for all ages will be held in room H at 8:15 a.m. The Adult Sunday School class will be held in room H at 10:15 a.m. Those ministerin­g at the 9 a.m. service are: Acolyte; Samantha Johns, Lector; Nancy Fioriglio, Communion Assist: Nancy Fioriglio and Greeters/Ushers; Bob and Lisa Heydt. Pastor Penman’s office hours are on Mondays from 9 – 11 a.m. The Property Committee will meet on March 4 at 7 p.m. in room B. The Worship and Music committee will meet on March 5 at 6:30, then at 7 p.m. the Mercy Ministry committee will meet in room H and rounding out the evening will be a Finance meeting at 7:30 p.m. in room E. We will observe Ash Wednesday on March 6 at 7 p.m. with a service of Holy Communion and Imposition of Ashes. The Girl Scouts will meet in the social hall of the church on March 7 at 6:30 p.m. The first “Journey’s through Grief” session will begin on March 7 beginning at 7 p.m. in room H, downstairs in the church. Roast Beef Dinner Planning Meeting following worship, 4 p.m. Talent/Show Cook Off, On March 3, in conjunctio­n with the Talent Show, we will hold the 2019 Trinity Cook-Off. The theme this year is “Internatio­nal Night” Participan­ts will make enough of their favorite internatio­nal dish for about 50 people to sample it. During the Talent Show intermissi­on, people will sample the dishes and vote for their favorite. Voting will be “blind”, that is, no one is supposed to know who cooked what. As always there will be prizes for the winners. Tickets to vote in the cook-off will be sold at the door. $5 will get you three votes to cast however you want. Additional tickets can be bought for $1 a piece. Proceeds will benefit the general fund. Contestant­s sign up on the bulletin board in the narthex! Thrivent Financial will be hosting a Social Security Planning Workshop here at Trinity on March 4 at 6 p.m. and March 5 at 12 p.m. If you wish to attend, please call the church office 610-369-1281. Handbell Choir will rehearse at 6:30 p.m., and Senior Choir will rehearse following the Ash Wednesday service. Executive Committee will meet Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
