Chestnut Knoll begins Memory Care Café for families affected by Alzheimer’s Disease

- From Chestnut Knoll

Currently, over 5 million people are living with Alzheimer’s disease, and according to the Alzheimer’s Association, this number is expected to grow to nearly 14 million by 2050.

An Alzheimer’s disease or dementia-related diagnosis can have a profound impact on a person and his or her family and friends. And, as the disease progresses the joys of outings to restaurants and other simple interactions can be challenging and stressful for both the caregiver and their loved one. Chestnut Knoll, an award-winning senior community, offering Personal Care and Memory Care in Boyertown, is hoping to bring back a sense of normalcy and to provide more than support to families affected by Alzheimer’s disease and dementia with the beginning of a Memory Care Café.

During Chestnut Knoll’s Memory Care Café enjoy a free light brunch in a comfortable and relaxed setting with casual discussions based on caregiver interests. This small, intimate group provides a safe, supportive and engaging environment for your loved one living with memory impairment. Professional memory care staff is on hand to provide extra assistance when needed.

Chestnut Knoll’s Memory Care Café is a place where caregivers can bring their loved ones to interact, laugh, cry, find support, share concerns and celebrate without feeling embarrassed or misunderstood.

If you are interested in attending Chestnut Knoll’s Memory Care Café with your loved one, please call Jodie Daniels at 610-4738066 to RSVP for the next event.
