63 Berks students take home medals

Next stop is the state competition in April

Sixty-three Berks County high school students took home medals recently in SkillsUSA district competitions.

SkillsUSA is a national membership association serving high school, college and middle school students who are preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations. The organization holds annual competitions where students can show off their talents.

Forty-three students from Berks Career & Technology Center and 20 from Reading-Muhlenberg Career & Technology Center placed in district competitions held in January and earlier this month. Winners at the district level earn a chance to move on to the state competition, held in Hershey April 15-17.
