Lawmakers get committee assignments
Election News » B3
The Pennsylvania General Assembly is back at work.
A new legislative session started this month, cementing a new slate of lawmakers and revealing the issues likely to dominate the Harrisburg political landscape over the next two years. And with a new session comes new committee appointments.
Committee appointments are made by party leaders in the House of Representatives and Senate. The committees are where the legislation process begins, and committee membership is often important in driving each member’s legislative priorities.
