Woman’s Club donates to General Carl Spaatz Museum
BOYERTOWN » Boyertown Junior Woman’s Club held its annual Girls’ Night Out Basket Raffle Fundraising Event in March.
The evening proved to be a success and helped raise over $12,000. Boyertown Junior Woman’s Club members selected the Boyertown-based General Carl Spaatz National USAAF Museum to receive 70% percent of the event’s profit.
The remaining funds were distributed to other local community organizations: Studio B — $500; Boyertown Community Library — $500; The Boyertown Historical Society — $1,000; The Salvation Army — $1,000; The Boyertown Ambulance- $1,000.
On Friday, April 15, members of Boyertown Junior Woman’s Club presented the Spaatz Museum with a surprise contribution in the amount of $9,010.
The General Carl Spaatz Museum offers an immersive experience that places visitors in the time frame of the interactive exhibits. The “living” museum includes almost 6,000 square
feet of museum space with 10 exhibits, of which six are interactive. There is a mission briefing room, a gearup gallery, a simulated flying station, and an escape room.
