The Spring Heat Car Show will be held 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. April 23 at Re­gency Sta­dium, 11765 St. Li­nus Drive, Wal­dorf. The St. Mary’s Rod & Clas­sic Car Club will host the Spring Fling XXXI Car Show from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. April 24 on the Square in Leonard­town, with reg­is­tra­tion un­til noon. Open to cars, trucks and mo­tor­cy­cles of any year. Tro­phies will be awarded to the top 60 ve­hi­cles with 10 spe­cialty awards. Pro­ceeds ben­e­fit Hospice of St. Mary’s and other non-prof­its. The Cap­i­tal Tri­umph Reg­is­ter will host Bri­tain on the Green from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. April 24 at Gun­ston Hall Plan­ta­tion, 10709 Gun­ston Road, Lor­ton, Va. This all-mar­que Bri­tish car and mo­tor­cy­cle show will kick off the 2016 driv­ing sea­son with a day of Bri­tish au­to­mo­biles and a com­pli­men­tary tour of the his­toric house and grounds. There will be par­tic­i­pants’ choice judg­ing as well as food and mer­chan­dise ven­dors. Ve­hi­cle reg­is­tra­tion (by April 11) is $25 and in­cludes dash plaque and tour of Gun­ston Hall; reg­is­tra­tion af­ter April 11 is $35. Spec­ta­tor ad­mis­sion is $10 for adults, $5 for chil­dren ages 6-18, and free chil­dren 5 and younger. The East Coast Drifters will host their an­nual spring car show from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. May 1 at the Moose Lodge, 27636 Me­chan­icsville Road, Me­chan­icsville. The show is open to all cars 1991 and older. Dash plaques will be awarded to the first 100 reg­is­trants and goodie bags to the first 150 reg­is­trants. Free NSRA safety in­spec­tions will be avail­able dur­ing the show, and Wal­dorf Dodge will dis­play a 2016 Hell Cat. Cars must be on the show field by 1 p.m. to be judged. The 10th An­nual BIIKR Ride (Bik­ers In­volved in Kids’ Re­cov­ery) will be­gin at 11 a.m. May 7 at the Cen­ter for Chil­dren, 6100 Ra­dio Sta­tion Road, La Plata. Reg­is­tra­tion starts at 10:30 a.m. This poker run will in­clude stops at All Amer­i­can Har­ley David­son, Vera’s Beach Club, Sea Breeze, Sandgates, Hill’s Store and Moose Lodge #495 with po­lice es­cort from Cen­ter for Chil­dren to All Amer­i­can Har­ley David­son. The Street of Dreams Car Show and Swap Meet will be­gin at 9 a.m. May 15 at the Calvert County Fair­grounds, Prince Fred­er­ick.
