The Capital Triumph Register will host Britain on the Green from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. April 24 at Gunston Hall Plantation, 10709 Gunston Road, Lorton, Va. This all-marque British car and motorcycle show will kick off the 2016 driving season with a day of British automobile­s and a compliment­ary tour of the historic house and grounds. There will be participan­ts’ choice judging as well as food and merchandis­e vendors. Vehicle registrati­on (by April 11) is $25 and includes dash plaque and tour of Gunston Hall; registrati­on after April 11 is $35. The East Coast Drifters will host their annual spring car show from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. May 1 at the Moose Lodge, 27636 Mechanicsv­ille Road, Mechanicsv­ille. The show is open to all cars 1991 and older. Dash plaques will be awarded to the first 100 registrant­s and goodie bags to the first 150 registrant­s. Free NSRA safety inspection­s will be available during the show, and Waldorf Dodge will display a 2016 Hell Cat. Cars must be on the show field by 1 p.m. to be judged. The 10th Annual BIIKR Ride (Bikers Involved in Kids’ Recovery) will begin at 11 a.m. May 7 at the Center for Children, 6100 Radio Station Road, La Plata. Registrati­on starts at 10:30 a.m. This poker run will include stops at All American Harley Davidson, Vera’s Beach Club, Sea Breeze, Sandgates, Hill’s Store and Moose Lodge #495 with police escort from Center for Children to All American Harley Davidson. The Street of Dreams Car Show and Swap Meet will begin at 9 a.m. May 15 at the Calvert County Fairground­s, Prince Frederick.
