Library lobby open

-

Lobby services are available at all seven branches of the Santa Clara County Library District, including the Campbell Library. Patrons can enter the lobby to pick up holds, and to browse bestseller and new collections, including movies and children’s books, that are available for checkout via self-service machines. Patrons will need to have their library card with them, or know their library card number to use the self-check machines.

No appointment is needed to use lobby service, and patrons are asked to keep their visit to about 10 minutes. Patrons who enter the library must be free of COVID-19 symptoms, wear a face covering and maintain social distance. Hand sanitizer is provided to patrons as they enter and exit the library.

The district is one of the first library systems in the Bay Area to offer lobby service, Santa Clara County Supervisor Mike Wasserman, chair of the Library

Joint Powers Authority Board. “I appreciate the hard work and dedication of the staff to make it possible,” he added.

Patrons can still arrange contactless curbside service, where a staff member will bring items out to their vehicle. Appointments can be made online or by phone.

Account or reference service will continue by phone, email or chat.

Lobby and curbside service are available at the Campbell Library Monday and Thursday-saturday, 1-5 p.m. Lobby service is also available Tuesday and Wednesday, 3-7 p.m., with curbside service available on those days 3-5 p.m. For more information, visit sccld.org/curbside.
