Mountain Mike’s opens

-

Mountain Mike’s Pizza recently opened a second Campbell location at the corner of South Bascom and Camden avenues. The 40-yearold pizza chain says customer safety is at the forefront of its business operations at the new pizzeria.

“To ensure diners feel confident about their experience,” the release reads, “in addition to adhering to the strictest health and safety guidelines set by the state and the CDC, such as employees wearing masks and gloves, sections of the dining room have been blocked off to create physical distancing.”

The new Campbell location is operated by franchisees Raja and Gagan of Pizzaexchange, who tout the chain’s “fun, family-friendly atmosphere” and “the quality of our product.”

Once dining rooms are permitted to reopen at full capacity, the 2,340-squarefoot restaurant will have bigscreen TVS throughout the dining area. Contemporary design elements include exposed wood and shiplap, modern light fixtures, picturesque mountainscape murals and local accents such as a nostalgic map of Campbell.

Mountain Mike’s, which was founded in Palo Alto in 1978, uses dough made from scratch in-house (gluten-free is available). Besides pizzas bearing names like Everest, Mckinley and Pike’s Peak, the restaurant now offers original, barbecue and spicy hot boneless and bone-in chicken wings, garlic sticks and jalapeño poppers.

The new Mountain Mike’s is located at 3155 South Bascom Ave., Unit B. Call 408412-8950 for contactless delivery. Orders may also be placed through Doordash, Grubhub, Uber Eats and Postmates.
