Gauthier provides spark in Severn win

Nathan Gauthier netted a pair of secondhalf goals to rally Severn to a 2-1 victory over Concordia Prep on Thursday in boys soccer.

Nick Angelino provided an assist for Severn (11-3).

Alex Flores scored for the Cavaliers but John Carroll took the game off a successful penalty kick with less than two minutes to play. Spalding fell to 6-4.

Zack Glime scored three goals as the Obezags conquered the Vikings. Drew Loughlin scored twice and Marshall Tanz, Daniel Fagbohunka and Will Edwards each recorded an assist and Will Edwards made three saves for Key

Camden Handwerger, Colin Wolfe, Gordie Bernlohr, Kyle Jefferds, Zach Plummer, Declan Byrne and Jackson Merrill each scored a goal as the Falcons downed the Eagles (2-7-1). Nate Carey, Evan Blamphin and Gus Bachmann had an assist apiece and Braden Mondor and Ben McLay combined for two saves for Severna Park (9-3-1).

Matt Smith scored a goal and grabbed an assist in the Bulldogs’ rain-shortened victory over the Knights (4-4-1). Ronaldo Gutierrez scored the other goal for Southern (6-4-2). The game was called due to inclement

Lauren Campbell scored off an assist from Chase Campbell as Severna Park edged Northeast, 1-0, on Thursday in girls soccer.

Katie Byrd made three saves for Severna Park (11-1). Sydney Bell stopped 13 shots for Northeast (3-2-2)

Sarah Reidlin scored on a penalty kick for the Bulldogs in their victory over the Knights. Sarah Ward made one save for Southern (6-2-2).
