-

Amanda Kloots, the widowofNickCordero, the Broadway starwho died ofCOVID- 19 complications, reflected on her “tough” year following her husband’s death in an Instagrampost.

“NewYears has been tough, extremely hard forme. I’ve criedmore recently than in awhile,” Kloots wrote. “I thought Christmaswould be hard, thiswasworse. I think it’s becausewhen thenew year comes youwant a clean slate or to forget about last year, esp 2020. But, I can’t forget about last year and will not be able to wipe that slate clean. I also think I amslightly scared of what can happen in a year, howmuchthings can change. Lastly, I think everything Iwent through is finally catching up tome, and I amfinally ready to go to therapy to address the trauma.”

“… Being honest, acknowledging all of this instead of hiding it, has helpedme,” she concluded. “I hope it helps you.”

Kloots chronicled Cordero’sCOVID- 19 battle on social media before he died July 5.
