Glen Burnie 3, Northeast 2: Nick Mullen scored the overtime game-winner for the Gophers (3-0). Justin Gilbert added a goal and an assist on the winning strike, and Tito Tamayo also scored for Glen Burnie, while Mukund Parsi made three saves and Trevor Kramer had four saves.

The Eagles dropped to 0-2-1.

Old Mill 1, Chesapeake 0: The Patriots (3-1) scored on a quick counter in the second half to hand the Cougars (2-1-1) their first loss of the season.

Old Mill scored on a quick counter-attack led by junior Xavier Lewis, who played out of the back to a streaking Aden Sabur, who then fed a through ball to senior Cameron James. James scored his second game-winner of the season.

VOLLEYBALL

Chesapeake Science Point 3, Meade 1: Sophomore Jasmin Azan had seven kills and seven aces, junior Destinee Phifer added six kills and three assists, and sophomore Madeline Parks had a career high 13 assists to go with six aces as the Tigers (2-1) took down the Mustangs (1-2) in four sets, 25-14, 15-25, 25-22, 25-18.

Junior defensive specialist Lia Joynes was named game MVP for her back row saves and a back row kill in the final set. Junior Gabrielle Sanders and freshman Brooks Waters each tallied two blocks for Chesapeake Science Point.

Old Mill 3, Chesapeake 0: Senior Maya Cowling had 10 kills and four aces and senior Sheridan Smith added 18 assists, six aces, two digs and one kill as the Patriots improved to 4-0 with a straight-set 25-13, 25-11, 25-20 win over the Cougars, who dropped to 1-3.

BASEBALL

Key 15, Rockbridge Academy 5 (6 innings): Ethan Katz went 1-3 with an RBI, Sean Boomer went 1-2 with a double, an RBI and a run scored, and Chris Williams went 1-2 with an RBI and 3 runs scored to lead the Obezags (3-0 MIAA C Conference, 5-0 overall). Boomer, Luke Nespole, and Jack Gallant each threw scoreless innings for Key.

John Carroll 5, Spalding 3: Thomas Joseph and Ben Wieman each had two hits while starting pitcher Noah Mrotek allowed seven hits and two runs (one earned) while walking three and striking out six across 4 ⅓ innings to lead the Cavaliers in the loss.

Calvert Hall 14, St. Mary’s 1: Logan Scully had an RBI and a double while Damion Kenealy scored the only run in the bottom of the first inning for the Saints.

BOYS LACROSSE

Severn 9, Mount Saint Joseph 8: Attackman Owen Wellschlag­er scored three goals while Reid Gills won 17 of 21 faceoffs to lead the Admirals to their first win of the season on the road.

St. Mary’s 9, Loyola 7: Will Hopkins tallied two goals and two assists and Will Brimhall added a hat trick to lead the Saints (2-1). Tyler Barnett netted a pair of goals, Teddy Androus had a goal and won 10 of 18 faceoffs, Brogan Stofa tallied a goal and Nick Golini added an assist.

FIELD HOCKEY

Arundel 3, Severna Park 1: Lana Hamilton scored twice and Gracie Johnson added a goal for the Wildcats, who improved to 3-0.
