Arundel football rallies past Meade

Arundel 30, Meade 20: The Wildcats (2-2) rallied from a 20-point deficit in the first half to beat the Mustangs(0-4)intheseaso­n finale.

Meade jumped out to a big lead as quarterbac­k Calvin House threw touchdown passes of 7 yards to Darrell Walter and 48 yards to Joshua Cooper, and Walter took a 5-yard carry into the end zone early in the second quarter for a 20-0 advantage.

Arundel, however, rallied quickly.JaireLe’Mongotthe Wildcats on the board with a 4-yard touchdown run midway through the second quarter, and Karris Scott hauled in a 27-yard score from quarterbac­k Cameron Leight.

GIRLS LACROSSE

AACS 9, Friends 7: Tracy Grollman (2 goals), McKenna Steinau (2 goals) and Lydia Wood (2 goals, 1 assist) led the Eagles to victory.

Indian Creek 18, St. Timothy’s 4: Kalle Huff exploded forfivegoa­lsandthree­assists to lead the Eagles (8-0) at home.

Mia Putzi (3 goals, 3 assists) and Megan Bunker (4 goals, 1 assist) as well as Sophee Gomberg (2 goals, 1 assist)andAbbiBac­h(1goal) helped Indian Creek offensivel­y.

Friends 18, Indian Creek 8: Will Mercer netted four goals while Benny Carter (1 assist), Dylan Harris (1 assist),NickStrobl­e,andWill Flint also scored once each for the Eagles (5-2 overall, 1-2 MIAA B). Roddy House added an assist.

Pallotti 7, Key 6: Hudson Smith had four goals and Reid Chapman had two for the Obezags in the loss.

Severn 12, John Carroll 9: With the game tied at the start of the fourth quarter, the Admirals scored three straightgo­alstoputth­egame out of reach.
