Giants: Concession workers at the Giants’ Oracle Park on Saturday voted to strike, citing concerns over COVID-19 safety and health coverage. According to UNITE HERE Local 2, at least 20 concession­s workers have contracted COVID-19 since the stadium reopened this season. According to the union, 96.7% of active stadium workers voted to strike. The workers are employed by Bon Appetit, a company contracted by the Giants. They worked Sunday night’s series final against the rival Dodgers. The Giants begin a six-game road trip on Monday before returning to San Francisco to face the Padres on Sept. 13.

Dodgers: OF AJ Pollock will miss a “minimum” of two to three weeks after suffering a right hamstring strain in Saturday night’s win over the Giants, manager Dave Roberts said. After doubling in a run in the first inning, Pollock was injured when he attempted a steal and slid awkwardly into third. He was helped off the field and eventually removed from the game. Pollock, 33, missed 18 games earlier this season due to a strained left hamstring. He’s batting .296 with 16 HRs and 58 RBIs this season.

Yankees: Setup man Jonathan Loaisiga was placed on the 10-day IL on Sunday with a strained right rotator cuff. Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Loaisiga will not throw for at least 10 days. Loaisiga, 26, is 9-4 with a 2.25 ERA in 68 innings, striking out 66 batters while walking just 15. He has 18 holds and five saves . ... Gary Sánchez hit a grand slam and a two-run HR, but the host Yankees blew a late lead and lost again to the last-placing Orioles, falling 8-7. The wild card-contending Yankees dropped to 7-9 against the

Orioles this season. The Yankess wasted leads of 4-1, 5-2 and 7-4 and lost for the sixth time in eight games following their first 13-game winning streak since 1961.

Blue Jays: Robbie Ray struck out 10 while pitching one-hit ball into the seventh, Marcus Semien hit his 35th HR and the Blue Jays beat the visiting A’s 8-0 to complete a threegame sweep. Bo Bichette went 4-for-4, scored twice and drove in a run and

Alejandro Kirk homered as the Jays reached double figures in hits for the fourth straight game. Winners of seven of eight, the Blue Jays (73-62) are a season-best 11 games above .500. Ray (11-5) reached double digits in strikeouts for the fourth straight start, the first Jays pitcher to achieve the feat. The only hit he allowed in 6 innings was a one-out double by Khris Davis in the fifth. Ray’s 2.60 ERA is tops among AL pitchers.

Mets: Javier Báez went 4-for-4 with a HR, Kevin Pillar hit a grand slam that capped a game-sealing, six-run ninth, and the Mets withstood another rally from the host Nationals to earn a 13-6 victory. Francisco Lindor and Jonathan Villar also homered for the Mets, who squandered an early four-run lead but got 4

shutout innings from their bullpen to win for the seventh time in eight games.

Brewers: Daniel Vogelbach delivered a pinch-hit grand slam off Alex Reyes to cap a five-run rally in the ninth that gave the NL Central-leading Brewers a 6-5 victory over the visiting Cardinals. The NL Central-leading Brewers trailed 5-1 before starting

their comeback. Brewers starter Corbin Burnes struck out seven but allowed six hits, three runs and two walks in five innings.
