Top-ranked Tide face tough test at The Swamp
Nebraska (2-1) at No. 3 Oklahoma (2-0) Noon Saturday, FOX
A reunion of former Big Eight powers as Nebraska takes on Oklahoma for the first time since leaving for the Big Ten in 2011. Nebraska has lost six of the last eight meetings, including the last time these two faced off in the 2010 Big 12 championship game, a 23-20 win by the Sooners. Huskers coach Scott Frost is undefeated (2-0) against Oklahoma as a quarterback, guiding his team to back-to-back blowouts in 1996 and 1997.
No. 8 Cincinnati (2-0) at Indiana (1-1) Noon Saturday, ESPN
This begins a crucial two-game stretch for Cincinnati in which the Bearcats travel to Indiana and Notre Dame. The last time the Hoosiers lost to a program outside of the Power Five was to Bowling Green in 2014. Cincinnati quarterback Desmond Ridder has thrown for 295 yards while completing 80% of his passes (20 of 25) with four touchdowns and one interception through two games.
No. 1 Alabama (2-0) at No. 11 Florida (2-0) 3:30 p.m. Saturday, CBS
This is the first regular-season meeting between the two programs since 2011 and the first game at The Swamp since 2010. Alabama has won seven consecutive games in this series, including four times in the SEC championship game. Last year, the Crimson Tide secured a 52-46 victory. Florida coach Dan Mullen is looking for his first career win against Alabama (0-10). Bryce Young is the first Tide quarterback to throw seven touchdowns in his first two starts.
No. 22 Auburn (2-0) at No. 10 Penn State (2-0) 7:30 p.m. Saturday, ABC
Auburn last faced a Big Ten opponent in the regular season in 1931. Penn State, meanwhile, has lost five straight games to teams from the SEC, with three of those losses coming in bowl games. Auburn’s Bo Nix leads the SEC in passer rating (199.17) but the junior quarterback faces a Nittany Lions defense that has forced five takeaways, including four interceptions through the first two games.
No. 19 Arizona State (2-0) at No. 23 BYU (2-0) 10:15 p.m. Saturday, ESPN
A week after knocking off in-state rival Utah at home, BYU hosts Arizona State looking to make it a perfect 3-0 against Pac-12 teams. A win over the Sun Devils also would make BYU a perfect 2-0 against teams from the state of Arizona. The Cougars already defeated Arizona in Week 1. Arizona State have won four of the last six meetings in this series but dropped the last two games (1997, 1998).
