Boys basketball

Southern 56, Broadneck 49:

Brian Griffin scored a game-high 30 points to lead the host Bulldogs over the Bruins. Jordan Brown had 18 points for Broadneck. Southern’s Alhaji Shaw had nine points and 11 rebounds. Broadneck got 10 points each from Amare Jeffries and Jalen Carter.

Glen Burnie 94, Chesapeake Science Point 45: Lakee Pegram scored 15 points to lead the host Gophers (13-7, 9-3 Anne Arundel) over the Tigers. John Mallory had 13 points and Greg Pittman had 11 points for Glen Burnie.

Severna Park 56, Arundel 43: The Falcons ran their win streak to six games thanks to a strong third-quarter run. Severna Park was led by juniors Liam Cleary (15 points), Brendan Abell (14) and Upton Young (11). Ryan Alston led Arundel with 14 points, nine rebounds and four steals. Noah Frayer also had 14 points.

Annapolis 82, Crofton 76: Darrian Carter scored 33 points, Reggie Dean had 21 points and Thomas

King had 10 points to lead the host Panthers over the Cardinals. Sean Smith (25 points), Sam Ross (16 points) and Ryan Kelly (nine points) led Crofton.

St. Paul’s 51, Severn 47: Kingston Price scored a game-high 22 points, but the Admirals (16-6, 13-5 MIAA B Conference) fell to the Crusaders (11-14, 10-8). Jeremiah Douglas had 18 points for St. Paul’s.

Girls basketball

Broadneck 55, Southern 45:

The visiting Bruins broke an 8-8 tie with a 20-10 run in the first half and beat the Bulldogs. Samantha Miller scored 26 points, London Best had 12 points and Mackenzie Wharton had 11 points for Broadneck. Ava Wooster led all scorers with 27 points and grabbed 18 rebounds.

South River 63, Meade 37: Skylar Woodyard scored 22 points and Ryleigh Adams had 16 points to lead the host Seahawks over the Mustangs.

Indian Creek 51 Rockbridge Academy 24:

Haley Selmer scored 15 points and Norah Young had 12 points to lead the host Eagles (14-9) over the Scots. This was the final game of the regular season for Indian Creek.
