Ringgold upsets Fairyland Club; FTO edged by Womac, Waterdogs

Never count out the Ringgold swim team, especially at home.

The Tigershark­s, who entered their regular season finale on Tuesday, July 5 with only one win in the Chattanoog­a Area Swim League, upset Fairyland (393-367) in the Red division. The win snapped the Flash’s five meet winning streak to make them 5-1 overall for the season while Ringgold finished 2-4 with its other victory coming on June 9 against the Big Ridge Raiders, 400-379.

On the other side of Catoosa County, the Waterdogs earned a 403-329 victory over the Fort Oglethorpe with the Marlins’ former coach Tony Womac at poolside for Cleveland. The win gives the Waterdogs a second place finish in the White division with an overall record of 5-1 while the young Marlins had one win this summer, respective­ly. It was a 366-352 win on June 6 against the Cumberland Currents.
