Kenneth Leon Bradford, 60 Ringgold

Kenneth Leon Bradford, of Ringgold, Ga., passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016. He was 60.

He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanoog­a and North Georgia areas and attended Chattanoog­a Valley Church of God.

He was employed with Olan Mills as a machinist for more than 17 years and had a passion for riding motorcycle­s and driving his corvette.

He was a master carpenter and enjoyed going to car shows and spending time with family and friends.

He was a loving and devoted brother, father and grandfathe­r that will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Billy and Aline Louise Bradford and sister, Joan McGowan.

Survivors include: His children, Tya Bradford of Darien, Ga., and Kevin Bradford of Ringgold; two brothers, Wilbur Bradford and Jerry Bradford both of Rossville; two grandchild­ren, Ashton Mooney and Kyli Todd and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

A.J. Langford, 97 Rossville

A. J. Langford, of Rossville, Ga., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016, at his daughter’s home. He was 97.

A. J. was born Dec. 12, 1918, at home in Rossville to the late Bro. William and Mary Langford. He spent his boyhood days in Rossville and remained in North Georgia with his family.

The only time he did not live in Rossville was when he served his country during WWII with the United States Army. He went on the move through Central Europe and Germany with the U.S. Army and received two Bronze Stars; Combat Infantryma­n, American Theater Service Badge.

A. J. was employed in the textile mills as a foreman where he retired after 42 years of service. He was of the Church of God of Prophecy faith, loved to fish and work on small engines. A.J. was a generous man who loved and had compassion for his family. His children all say he was a good and trustworth­y father.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jesse Langford; sisters, Minnie Lemons-Bullard and Ruby McCallie and granddaugh­ter, Ronda (Larry) Johnson Sisson.

Survivors include: His loving wife of 72 years, Willodean Cheatwood Langford; son and daughters, Jerry (Phyllis) Langford, Joyce Sisson and Peggy (Mike) Wallace; 13 grandchild­ren, 27 great-grandchild­ren and 20 greatgreat-grandchild­ren.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Dalton and friend, Jana Carlton for their special care of A. J.

David Franklin Stoker, 71 Chickamaug­a

David Franklin Stoker, of Chickamaug­a, Ga., passed away Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016. He was 71.

He was a lifelong resident of Chickamaug­a and a member of Cooper Heights Church of God.

David served his country in the U.S. Army and retired from Yates Bleachery in 2005. He was a loving father, grandfathe­r, brother and uncle, who will be greatly missed by his family.

David was preceded in death by his father, Dewey Franklin Stoker Sr.

Survivors include: His mother, Katherine Loyene Stoker; children, Tim (Bobbie) Stoker, Robert Stoker and Regina Stoker; brothers, Dewey Stoker Jr., and Sam Stoker; several grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Keith Oldaker, of Rossville, Ga., passed away Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016. He was 76.

He was a lifetime resident of the Chattanoog­a area. Keith graduated from Hamilton County schools and attended Louisiana Tech where he earned a bachelor’s degree of science. He enlisted and retired from the Air Force after 19 years of service then worked for Abilities Inc., and Siskins Rehab.

He was a proud Eagle Scout, an avid “Cat Whisperer” and was a member of Ye Olde Fartes Archery Club.

Keith is preceded in death by his father, William Oldaker; mother, Maizie Ricker Oldaker and three sons, David, Donald and James Keith Oldaker.

Survivors include: His loving wife, Joan Oldaker; children, Scottie Ellis, Shawna (Brandon) Pritchett, Shelbe Ellis and Kelsey (Daniel) Holt; sister, Phyllis Oldaker; brother, Harold Oldaker; grandchild­ren, Casey (Megan) Conley and Kobi Pritchett; greatgrand­children, Kellan and Tyler Conley; uncle and aunts, George (IvaNelle) Ricker and Boots Ricker; three nieces, Annette (Greg) Defriese, Amie Oldaker and Kristie (Dan) Oldaker and good friend, Jerry Clements.

Leonard Wilburn Reeves, 87 Chattanoog­a

Leonard Wilburn Reeves, of Chattanoog­a, Tenn., went home to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016. He was 87.

He was born in Chattanoog­a, Tenn., to the late Luther and Lennie Reeves and lived in Bryant, Ala., from 19411981 before moving back to the Chattanoog­a area.

He was an Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict Era and was a member of Tiftonia Baptist Church. He retired from U.S. Pipe in 1994 after more than 28 years of service and enjoyed gardening, fishing and spending time with family and friends.

He was truly dedicated to his family and was always putting others’ needs before his own. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfathe­r and great-grandfathe­r that will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Christine and Louise.

Survivors include: His loving wife of more than 35 years, Inda Motes Reeves of Chattanoog­a, Tenn.; children and spouses, Billy and Marianne Reeves of Cleveland, Ohio, Jimmy and June Reeves of Trenton, Ga., Bill and Sherrie McMillon of Chattanoog­a, Tenn., Rita Wooten of Higdon, Ala., Ann and Doug Teems of Ringgold, Ga. and Grace and Rob Thomas of Whitwell, Tenn.; 10 grandchild­ren; several greatgrand­children; several great-great-grandchild­ren and numerous extended family and friends.

Nancy Caroline Ward Ware, 85 Tunnel Hill

Nancy Caroline Ward Ware of Tunnel Hill, Ga., passed away Friday, Aug. 5, 2016, at her residence. She was 85.

Named after her great-great-grandmothe­r “Nancy Caroline Crocker Ward,” Nancy was born and raised in Ringgold and was a member of Ringgold United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir.

After graduating high school, she went to West Georgia College for two years. After graduating she taught one year at Boynton Elementary. Nancy then went to North Georgia College to finish her degree for two more years.

She worked for the Tennessee Valley Authority for a short time until she started teaching at Ringgold High School where she taught for a couple of years then began working with her husband taking care of the bookkeepin­g for L.Q. Ware Farms where she worked for 30 years.

Nancy was a member of the Battlefiel­d Pilot Club and a former board member of the Catoosa County Children’s Fund.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Q. (Cooster) Ware; parents, Solomon Bertrand and Ethel Robinson Ward and siblings, Bert Ward, Tommy Ward, Annie Lou McDaniel, Nell Adine Pitt and Joe Ward.

Survivors include: Four children, Louis Ware, Sol (Meleisa) Ware and Russell (Janice) Ware all of Ringgold and Eric (Frankie) Ware of Decatur, Ga.; sister, Nina Ward Norman of Chattanoog­a, Tenn.; eight grandchild­ren, seven great-grandchild­ren, 17 nieces and nephews and several cousins.

Visitation: Sunday, Aug. 7, from 2-8 p.m. and Monday until funeral time at the funeral home.

Funeral services: Monday, Aug. 8, at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Gary Knowles officiatin­g.

Prentice Leon Daniel, of Rossville, Ga., went home to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016. He was 69.

He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanoog­a and North Georgia areas and was of the Baptist faith.

He was a self-employed contractor in the heating and air business for most of his life and loved fishing and playing the guitar. He was a loving and devoted brother, father and grandfathe­r that will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thurman and Ina Lee Daniel Sr., and brother, Marcus Lowe Daniel.

Survivors include: His children, Debbie Born of Chickamaug­a, Ga., Deanna Marie Daniel of Rossville, Prentice Leon Daniel Jr. of Graysville, Tenn., and Lauren Daniel of Ider, Ala.; two brothers, Thurman Daniel Jr., of Soddy Daisy, Tenn., and Alton Ray Daniel of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.; sister, Mescal Keith of Flintstone, Ga.; five grandchild­ren, Taylor Cochrane, Brayden Born, Kyla Daniel, Savannah Hixson and Kinsley Daniel; several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Ruby Jewel Talley, 88 Chattanoog­a

Ruby Jewel Talley, of Chattanoog­a, Tenn., passed away Friday, Aug. 5, 2016, in a local healthcare facility. She was 88.

Mrs. Talley spent the greater part of her life in the Chattanoog­a area and was a longtime member of Temple Baptist Church. Her greatest joy in life was being with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Talley; son, Dennis Edward Talley and brothers, Gilbert and Gene King.

Survivors include: Her children, Judy (Frank) Rutledge Bailey, Rodney (Patricia) Rutledge, Eddie (Dianne) Talley, Wayne (Diane) Talley and Gary (Debbie) Talley; brothers, Joe and Jim King; sister, Louise Stitt; seven grandchild­ren, several great-grandchild­ren and nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Sunday, Aug. 7, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel.

Funeral services: Monday, Aug. 8, at 11 a.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Rev. Jim Rushing officiatin­g.
