Cornerstone CEO visits Fort Oglethorpe Kiwanis

The Kiwanis Club of Fort Oglethorpe welcomed Cornerstone Medical CEO Jessica Long as their Aug. 12 speaker. Apollo MD purchased the former Hutcheson Medical Center in December 2015. On May 12 of this year Apollo MD introduced Cornerstone Medical Center to the public and outlined their plans to provide medical services to the community. Long spoke of transitioning from Hutcheson to Cornerstone, the hiring of over 200 employees, current renovations at the medical center and the operation so far of 12 in-patient beds. She also reported that Cornerstone Medical had finished the accreditation process and has been recommended for accreditation. The medical center aims to be a general hospital leaving the specialties to the Chattanooga providers.
