Racing for the Warriors were Armando Martinez (21:24), Sibkhon Khajikhano (23:03), Avery Murphy (23:48), Nick Goodale (25:08), Jackson Moore (26:07) and Tyler Ellis (26:12).

Trion’s lineup included Bronson Champion (21:08), Parker Railey (23:25), Michael Cook (23:41), Timo Solis (26:47) and Rory Hogg (27:02).

Gage Henry was Dade County’s top runner. Henry ran a 19:37.

On the girls’ side, Trion’s Savanna Landry had the fastest time among runners who qualified for the team score with a 25:27. LaFayette’s Kaci Rogers (27:35) and Ali Gilbreath (30:30) took the next two spots, while two more Trion runners, Mckenzie Parker (31:03) and Talia Barreno (32:20) rounded out the top five. LaFayette’s Sierra Jackson (32:20) was sixth.

Also running for the Lady Ramblers were Brianna Minor (33:35), Rachel Graham (34:38) and Hannah Elliot (36:06).

Trion got a 33:33 from Jessie Human, followed by Liza Mendez (35:10) and Nelly Chavez (38:55).

Running for LFO was Sydney Moss (34:18), Lucy Lin (34:42), Shelby Lolley (35:23), Reaghan Howe (38:08) and Faith Jones (38:34).

Dade County’s Taylor Warren had the overall fastest time with a 24:26.

Scenic City Multisport was on hand to provide chip timing for the event.

“Everyone seemed to be very pleased and loved the course,” LaFayette head coach Chris O’Neil said. “The kids thought it was tough, which was what we were going for. I already had a few of the coaches ask if we could host another race here this year and we might have to oblige.

“The timing company was a hit. We won’t be able to have them for every meet, but it was a nice way to show off the course and LaFayette cross country for the first time.”

In the junior varsity race, LaFayette’s boys finished first, followed by Ridgeland and LFO.

Running for the JV Ramblers were William Sainthill (21:48), R.J. Sievers (21:49), Devin Henderson (22:33), Elijah Price (23:35), Todd Minor (23:36), Jacob Clark (24:56) and Jordan Capello (25:14).

Participat­ing for the JV Panthers were Prescott (20:39), Myers Tucker (22:04), Eliot Jones (23:17), Gavin Losh (24:06), Jacob Gadd (25:32), Josiah Williams (25:48) and Dakota Dehart (25:56).

Racing for the JV Warriors were Nathan Goodale (24:33), Zane Carter (24:35), Franco Marchese (25:47), Matthew Trusley (26:24), Brian Castro (27:20), Blake Arellano (27:46) and Drake Boynton (36:23).

Trion was the only school to have female runners in the JV race. Hannah Dong clocked in at 28:36, followed by Allison Whitt (30:42), Natalie Peterson (36:06), Emma Cooper (36:49), Lexie Hunter (38:53), Margolin Sumner (41:05).
