The sizzling score features well known standards including: “Blue Skies,” “I Love a Piano,” “How Deep is the Ocean” and the perennial favorite “White Christmas.” Show runs approximately two hours with an intermission. The Dalton State College Department of Communication and Theatre presents the comedy “Christmas Belles,” to be performed Wednesday-Saturday, Nov. 16-19, at 7 p.m. at Goodroe Auditorium on the Dalton State College campus, 650 College Drive, in Dalton, Ga.
It’s Christmas-time in the small town of Fayro, Texas, and the Futrelle sisters Frankie, Twink and Honey Raye, are not exactly in a festive mood. A cranky Frankie is weeks overdue with her second set of twins. Twink, recently jilted and bitter about it, is in jail for inadvertently burning down half the town.
And hot-flash-suffering Honey Raye is desperately trying to keep the Tabernacle of the Lamb’s Christmas program from spiraling into chaos, but things are not looking too promising. Miss Geneva, the ousted director of the previous 27 productions, is ruthless in her attempts to take over the show.
The production is produced and directed by faculty member Kim Correll, of Ringgold, Ga. The cast includes Katherine Fromm, Britni Shipp, Brittany Cooley Jake Baker, Caitlin Pedigo Jonathan Wright, Inna Kouzniaeva, Ashlea McCurdy, Cameron Hood, Will Harden, and Nkemjika Ebere. Show stage manager is Chelsea Quarles.
Tickets are $7 and will be sold at the door (cash only). Current Dalton State students, faculty and staff are admitted for free with a Dalton State ID.
