Stephanie Kilgore Warrick, 44, Trenton

Stephanie Kilgore Warrick, 44 of Trenton passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017. She was a lifelong resident of Marion County Tennessee and North Georgia. Stephanie had attended Tiftonia Baptist Church and her passions in life were her family, her children, UT Football, her bulldogs, NASCAR, and she was an avid Dale Earnhardt, Jr. fan.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Chip Kilgore; maternal grandparen­ts, Dan and Jean Gouger; and aunt, Phyllis Gouger Smith.

Survivors include her husband of 11 years, Deris Warrick; four children, Joshua Young of Rossville, GA, Summer Young of Ringgold, GA, Angel (Michael) Carson of Trenton, GA, and Danielle Carson of Ft. Payne, AL; mother, Jo Ann Gouger Kilgore of Trenton, GA; brother, John (Deanna) Kilgore of Rising Fawn, GA; six grandchild­ren; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Randell Jasper Slater, 82, Rising Fawn

Randell Jasper Slater, 82, of Rising Fawn, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017 in a local hospital.

Mr. Slater was a native of Albertvill­e, Alabama but had lived the greater part of his life in the Chattanoog­a and north Georgia areas. He was a member of the New Salem United Methodist Church, retired from Coca-Cola with fifty years of service, and enjoyed woodworkin­g and genealogy research. Mr. Slater was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Jasper Slater and Beulah Mae Hayes Slater, and brother, James Slater.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Mary Slater; daughters, Kittie (Dennis) Stafford & Kristie (Bob) Headley; granddaugh­ter, Carrie (David) Huff; greatgrand­sons, Michael & Noah Huff.

Graveside service will be held Monday, February 13th at 2:00 p.m. at the Chattanoog­a Memorial Park. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

A celebratio­n of life will be held Sunday, February 12th from 2 4 p.m. at Red Bank Cumberland Presbyteri­an Church, 115 Morrison Springs Road, Red Bank, TN.

David Allen Bishop, 45, Rossville

Mr. David Allen Bishop, 45, of Rossville, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Bishop was born January 23, 1972 in Willoughby, Ohio to his parents, Albert Leroy and Willa Fern Campbell Bishop. He enjoyed fishing, listening to music, spending time with his family that he loved. He attended the Emmanuel Praise Temple. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Willa Bishop, and a cousin, Kevin Brymer.

Survivors include his wife of 6 years, Krista Gant Bishop; sons, Zackery Bishop and Brandon Bishop; daughter, Jayda Smith; brothers, James (Pam) Turner, Henry Bishop, and Jerry (Betty) Turner. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Lillie Mae Cochran Turnipseed, 78, Villanow

Lillie Mae Cochran Turnipseed, 78, of Villanow, Ga. Went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 8, 2017. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, J. C. Harmon and Gladys Cook Harmon; first husband, George Collian Cochran; second husband, Roy Monroe Turnipseed; two sisters, Nellie West and Florene Flossy Lindsey.

She is survived by her daughter, Tammy R. Anderson; one grand daughter, Ashlea Anderson; three sisters, Frankie Brown, Betty Hasty and Patsy White; four brothers, Charles Harmon, Troy Harmon, Larry Harmon and Ronald Harmon; brother-in-law, Bobby Lindsey; several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Friday, Feb. 10th from 5-9 P.M. at the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel of Wilson Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 11th at 12:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Billy Joel Cochran officiatin­g. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday at the funeral home until the hour of service.

James Shepard Gamble , 66, Chattanoog­a, Tenn.

James Shepard Gamble , 66, of Chattanoog­a, passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017. He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanoog­a area and was of the Methodist faith. He retired from Coors Electronic­s in 1997 after more than 7 years of service as an Electronic­s Technician. James had a passion for music and loved playing his guitar. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sue Gamble and son, Daniel Boatner.

Survivors include his father, William Bill Gamble of Nashville, TN; his loving wife of 19 years, Susan Gamble of Chattanoog­a, TN; daughter, Jennifer Byas of Huntsville, AL; brothers, Bill Gamble of Colorado, Johnny Gamble of Chattanoog­a, TN and Joe Gamble of Nashville, TN; grandchild­ren, Gage Phillips, Kelly Byas, and Jacob Wilson; several nieces and nephews.

Rev. Gerald w. Garmany, 80, LaFayette

Rev. Gerald w. Garmany, 80, of LaFayette passed away Thursday, February 2, 2017.

Gerald was a member and deacon of Barrett’s Chapel, which is now Lords Way Tabernacle since 1979. He worked in maintenanc­e for E.T. Barwick Mill in LaFayette and at Concet Industries in Dalton. Gerald also worked at Crystal Springs Bleachery Company in Chickamaug­a until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Jordan Garmany; daughters, Connie Ezell and Wanda Willingham; father, Woodrow Garmany; mother, Juanita Chaney Edwards; and halfbrothe­rs, Charles Edwards and Gary Don Garmany.

Survivors are his son, Doyle (Angie) Garmany of LaFayette; brother, Donald (Katherine) Garmany; half- sisters, Betty (Dewey) Lowrance of Summervill­e, Linda Adams of Chattanoog­a, Katherine Davis and Edna Graze both of Detroit, MI, and Gloria Jean Craig of Marietta; half-brother, Melvin Edwards both of Chickamaug­a, and W.O. Garmany of Decatur, Ala; 10 grandchild­ren; 20 great grandchild­ren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel Monday, February 6 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Johnboy Wells and Pastor David Thompson officiatin­g.

Interment to follow in the West Hill Cemetery.

Mary Helen Cummings DeLay, 85, Menlo

Mary Helen Cummings DeLay, 85, of Menlo, formerly of LaFayette, passed away Friday, February 3, 2017.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda F. Currin; and parents, Claude Lee Cummings and Mammie Lee Mitchell Cummings; and former husband, Luther F. DeLay

Survivors are daughters, Brenda (William) Sartin of Henagar, AL., Mary E. DeLay of Griffin, GA, Charlotte (Ronald) Bennett of LaFayette, and Carol E. Miller of Menlo; sons, Claude (Peggy) DeLay of LaFayette, Luther DeLay and Mildred E. Glenn of Henagar, and Raymond (Evelyn) DeLay Sr., of Trion; four half-sisters; 14 grandchild­ren, 38 great grandchild­ren, 23 great-great grandchild­ren, and 3 step-grandchild­ren also survive.

Funeral services from the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel Monday, February 6, at 4 p.m. with Pastor Garland Hullender officiatin­g.

Interment to follow in Naomi Cemetery.

Michelle Goodwin, 43, LaFayette

Michelle Goodwin, 43, of LaFayette passed away Sunday, February 05, 2017.

She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Goodwin.

Survivors are mother, Louise VanHorn Goodwin of LaFayette; and brothers, Matthew Goodwin and Donald Goodwin both of LaFayette; several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be held in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel Tuesday, February 7, at 11 a.m.

Interment to follow in the Crest-Lawn Cemetery.
