Battle of the Badges coming soon

Law enforcemen­t in Catoosa and Walker counties are going headto-head in the Battle of the Badges blood drive competitio­n.

This is the third, and tie breaking competitio­n, as each has been victorious — Walker having won in 2016 after Catoosa having taken honors in the inaugural event. Both sides need your help to win, so be sure to cast your vote by donating during the upcoming drives either in LaFayette or Ringgold.

The real winners are the scores of patients who each day receive the gift of life from the area’s blood banks. Drives like this one, and many others throughout the year, help Blood Assurance maintain an adequate supply of blood to replace the roughly 450 units (pints) that are used daily at hospitals in the its service area. provide to the hospitals in its service area, with 450 units needed daily. Each donation can save up to three lives.

You can also participat­e by donating at Blood Assurance’s Fort Oglethorpe center.

Simply let your Donor Care Specialist know which department you would like to cast your vote for at check-in.
