What: Farley Con - Comics and Wrestling Convention When: April 29, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Where: East Ridge Community Center, 1517 Tombras Ave., East Ridge, Tenn. Cost: $10 each for ages 12-adult; children under 12 free with paying adult. Appearing: Bobby Nash (actor and award-winning author), “Beautiful Bobby Eaton” of Midnight Express, cosplayer and cohost of United Nerd Network Bella Sparkles, The Walking Dead actors Josh “TKO” Turner, Billy Holt, Tim Pilkington, Kaylie Turner and Keith Brooks. (Note: Larry Hama was originally scheduled for Farley Con, but is unable to appear because his daughter is getting married during that time.)

Features: Costume contest (dress as comics character, super hero or villain) with prizes, music, food, vendors selling comics and comics-based merchandis­e, superhero and vintage toys, wrestling merchandis­e and “geekery-fandom” products. A formal ceremony will be held to induct more wrestlers into the Hall of Fame. Benefittin­g: Fighting for Autism and POPS for Patients (you can bring a child-friendly Funko POP! figure to donate for children in hospitals). We’ll have judges and will be giving out prizes for best costumes.”

In addition to Farley Con’s special guests, there will be vendors set up selling comics and comics-based merchandis­e, superhero and vintage toys, wrestling merchandis­e and “geekery-fandom” products. A formal ceremony will be held to induct more wrestlers into the Hall of Fame.
