Deborah Anne Douglas, 58, Ringgold
Deborah Anne Douglas, 58, of Ringgold, Georgia went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 15, 2017 in preparation for Easter.
She was born in Chicago, Illinois to the late, Edwin & Mildred Schmook, but had lived in the Chattanooga & North Georgia areas for most of her life.
She was a valued member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church where she was active as a Sunday School Teacher and was involved with the Youth Programs.
She was currently employed with Memorial Hospital as a Billing Specialist going on 37 years and loved going to the beach, traveling to Gatlinburg and visiting relatives in Chicago. Her main passions in life were playing with her precious granddaughter, the love & care for her family and her work at the hospital. She was a loving and devoted sister, mother and “Mimi” who will be truly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her children & spouses, Nicholas & Amber Douglas of Atlanta, GA and Victoria & James Breazeale of Ringgold, GA; brother & sisterin-law, Ralph & Faye Schmook of Evansville, TN; sisters & brother-inlaw, Cheryl Bradford of Benton, TN and Laura & Rhea Ford of Hixson, TN; 1 granddaughter, Robin Breazeale; several nieces, nephews and numerous extended family & friends.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with Pastor H. Christopher Sheets officiating. The body will lie-in-state from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the church.
Entombment will follow in the Calvary Gardens Mausoleum.

James B. Stoner, 87, of Chickamauga, Georgia passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017.
He was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and was a member of the Chattanooga Valley Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder Day Saints.
He had worked most of his life as a Heavy Machine Operator and was a Mason for more than 66 years and a member of the East Lake Masonic Lodge #698 F&AM.
He loved being outdoors camping, fishing and collecting old relics. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be truly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James & Sarah Stoner; son, Bobby Dean Stoner; brother, Willie Banjo Stoner and sister, Annie T. MaHaffey.
Survivors include his loving wife of more than 69 years, Betty Aaron Stoner of Chickamauga, GA; son & daughter-inlaw, James & Delores Stoner of Chickamauga, GA; daughter, Ann Stoner & Pat Henson of Flintstone, GA; brothers & sisters-in-law, Tilly & Phyllis Stoner, Dick & Linda Stoner and Tom & Andrea Stoner all of Rossville, GA; sister & brother-in-law, Audrey & Joe Murray of Lookout Mountain, GA; 7 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; several nieces, nephews and numerous extended family & friends.

Dorothy Auda Warren, of Rossville, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at age 95.
She was born in Moodysville, TN to the late John Adam Beatty and Elva Story.
Dorothy loved Jesus and her family unconditionally.
She had been a resident of Catoosa County for the past 40 years.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Venable Turner and Harvey Warren; daughter, Brenda Dunn; great grandson, Ryan Fair; four sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include her daughters, Ruth Parsons, Betty (Tom) Curry, Elaine (George) Lowery and Judy Martin; sisters, Georgie Simmons and Billie Randolph; 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 10 greatgreat grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank, in house caregivers, Charlotte and Scarlett Fair. The team from Tapistry Hospice of Georgia for their loving and dedicated care over an extended period: Dr. Wm. Horton, Kelly, Brittany, Steffanie, Mary, Holly and Dianna.
Graveside service will be held at 12:30 PM Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park with Chaplin Tim Samples officiating.

Deborah “Debbie” Louise Gray Campbell age 59, of Rossville, Georgia passed away Saturday – April 15, 2017.
She was born in LaFayette, Georgia and had been a lifelong resident of Walker County.
She retired this past February from the Walker County Board of Education where she taught for twenty nine years. She loved her students and taught at North LaFayette Elementary, South Rossville Elementary and Rossville Elementary.
She enjoyed spending time at the beach, especially at her favorite place in Mexico Beach, Florida.
She was of the Methodist faith.
She is preceded in death by grandparents: Scott and Ester Gray, Grady and Cora Lee Swafford and her beloved sister: Lynn Gray Turner.
She is survived by her mother: Kathleen Swafford Brock of Ringgold, GA, father: Harold (Nelda) Gray, Sr., of Higdon, AL, daughter: Blakely (Victor) Burgess of LaFayette, GA, brother: Harold “Hal” Gray, Jr., of Rossville, GA, grandchildren: Megan Harris, Cassi Harris, Tatum Burgess and Mallorie Burgess, great-grandchildren: Malia Candelario and Daniel Morris, niece: Hali Gray and nephew: Zack (Allison) Turner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Davis and Jessie Hicks; husband, James Moore; sisters, Delores Rapier, Patricia Newsome, Wanda Anderson; brother, Ronnie Davis.

Karen Arlene Helton Austin, 58, of Ringgold, Georgia went home to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday April 20, 2017.
A lifelong resident of the Ringgold area, she was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, David Lamar Austin; son Brian David Austin; parents Harold and Lillie Epps Helton; and grandparents, Marvin and Myrtle Helton and Walton and Minerva Epps.
She is survived by two brothers, Blaine (Gail) Helton, and David Helton; adopted brother, Casey Westra; great uncle, B.C. Epps; and numerous cousins; special friends, Darla Crawford, Lynn Latimer and Gail Borders.
The family would like to thank Dr. Lindsey Crawford for all she done for Karen and the family during this time.

David Lamar Austin, 59, of Ringgold, Georgia, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday April 16, 2017.
A lifelong resident of the Dalton, Ringgold area, He was an employee of the Catoosa County Board of Education where he drove a bus for 7 years, a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church, and was the lead singer with the Willow Creek Quartet for 7 ½ years.
He is preceded in death by his son, Brian David Austin, and his grandparents that raised him Clarence and Bula Scott.
At the time of his passing he was survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Karen Helton Austin of Ringgold, GA.; brothers-in-law, Blaine (Gail) Helton and David Helton; adopted brother, Casey Westra; sister, Melba (Jerry) Palmer; brothers, Robert Cook, Dock Smith and Dale Smith; special cousins, Carol and Lamar Jordan.

She was the wife of the late Charles Hilburn, and retired from Sign-Rite.

Clyde Lee Millard, age 79 of Chickamauga, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at the Elm Croft Assisted Living Home, where he has been struggling with dementia.
He worked at ADM Flour Mill for 52 yrs., retiring at the age of 75.
Clyde was preceded in death by his loving wife, Iva Ruth Millard; parents, Bill and Ellen Combs; and son, Ivan Millard.
He is survived by his daughter, Joanne Abbott, sons, Steve (Linda) Millard, Dewayne (Carol) Millard, Ronnie Millard, and Thomas (Margo) Millard; grandchildren, Sherry Abbott, Crystal Stokes, Amber Myers, Steven Millard, Nathan Millard, Jordan Millard, Jade Millard Baltimore, and Hunter Millard; sisters, Lucy Rogers and Margie Wilhoite; 15 great grandchildren; and his significant other of 20 yrs., Hazel Bryant of Ooltewah, and her family.

Randall Lebron Nichols, 73, Ringgold
Randall Lebron Nichols, 73, of Ringgold passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at his home.
Randall was a born again Christian and was a member of several churches in the area, including Pleasant Hill Baptist Church on Lee Highway, Welcome Hill Baptist Church in Ringgold, and Cedar Hill Baptist Church in Ft. Oglethorpe.
Randall was a graduate of Ringgold High School and was a retiree of U.S. Pipe where he worked for over 40 years as a supervisor in the shipping department. Later Randall was employed with Beaulieu of America in Dalton.
He loved the outdoors and was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Elsie Nichols; brother, Marshall Nichols; sister, Glenda Nichols; nephews, Gene and Bobby Nichols.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Sherry Brooks Nichols; two sons, Randall Lebron Nichols, Jr (Debbie) of Dalton, GA and William Michael Nichols of Rossville, GA; three sisters, Barbara (Jack) Cooper of Byron, GA, Gail (Craig) Clark of Cohutta, GA, and Sharon Bomar(Bill) of Chickamauga, GA; father-in-law, William L. (Mary) Brooks of Chattanooga, TN; mother-in-law, Selma Brooks of Rossville, GA; sisters-in-law, Sarah Nichols of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA, Debra Reeves of Rossville, GA, and B.J. Howell of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA; brotherin-law, Larry (Debbie) Brooks of Chattanooga, TN and several nieces and nephews; and last but not least in his heart he is survived by his Yorkie, Scotia.

Ida Mae Moore Johnson, 97, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2017 in a local health care facility.
Mrs. Johnson was of the Methodist faith, enjoyed quilting and working in her flower garden.
She was retired from Cobble-Muse Hosiery Mill with more than 30 years of service, and was preceded in death by her husbands, Noel A. Moore and Eldridge Johnson, daughters, Mary Frances Boyd and Wilda Lou Roach, and brothers, Bill, Troy, John, & Raymond Martin.
Survivors include her daughters, Angela (Richard) Nicely of Rossville & Vickie (John) Smith of Hixson; fifteen grandchildren; several great and greatgreatgrandchildren.

Janice Marie Tomlin, 63, of Rossville and formerly of Kansas City, MO, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2017.
She was of the Catholic faith and served in the Air Force in the 1970’s as a Med Tech before marring and raising two sons. She was a loving wife and mother and was an enthusiastic cook, baker and gardener. Janice will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Martha Rast.
Survivors include her loving husband of 36 years, James Tomlin; sons, James Tomlin III and William Tomlin; sister, Donna Fisher; brothers, Carl, Raymond, Balfour, Mike, Richard, Billy and Danny Rast; several nieces and nephews.
