Gladys Louise Hopson, 80, Westfield, Ind.

Gladys Louise Hopson, of Westfield, Ind., passed away on Monday, May 15, 2017, at Maple Park Village in Westfield. She was 80.

She was born on June 27, 1936, to William and Blanche (Vestal) Johnson in Columbia, Tenn.

Gladys worked in nursing and attended Village Park Bible Methodist Church. She was a long-time resident of Chattanoog­a, Tenn. and worked at the Hephzibah Children’s Home in Georgia for 3 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Edwin Hopson; son, Ross Hopson; sisters, Mary Johnson Cooper, Ann Johnson, Joyce Johnson Klein and Lavona Johnson Ward and brother, Claude Johnson.

Gladys is survived by her son, Harrison Hopson; siblings, Jolene Brookes, Lavaille Ridener, Leonard Johnson, Larry Johnson and Patricia Johnson; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 23 from 5-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel.

Funeral services: will be held Wednesday, May 24 at 11:00 a.m. in the South Crest Chapel.

Burial: will be at Tennessee Georgia Memorial Park.
