LEGO camps offered at 6th Cavalry Museum

-

The 6th Cavalry Museum, in partnership with Bricks 4 Kidz, is excited to offer the next round of LEGO Summer Camps at the museum July 10-14. Together, the museum and Bricks 4 Kidz brings S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) programming to North Georgia while exploring the adventurous world of astronauts, galaxies, Bat-League, heroes and villains.

The first two camps, Amusement Park Mania and Mining and Crafting, were held June 12-16. “The museum came to life with activity and the sound of happy kids having a great time while learning,” said museum director Chris McKeever. “To see all the detail and ingenuity that went into the builds and then to listen while they explained what they had built and how it was able to move was exciting. They were so proud to show off what they had built and to work together as a team.”

Bricks 4 Kidz is a national franchise that provides classes to kids that teach S.T.E.M. fundamentals using LEGO bricks. The Chattanooga franchise is owned by Kelly and Ryan MacBride. They serve Chattanooga and surrounding areas by working with churches, schools, day care centers, scout groups and more to bring the programs into the community.

These will be the last camps offered for the summer. Registration for the half-day camps is open online at http://www.bricks4kidz.com/tennesseechattanooga-ooltewah/. Fee per class is $150 and class size is limited to 20 campers, ages 6-10. Chattanooga Valley Elementary school friends Luke Blevins and Ethan Miller check out the builds for LEGO mining and crafting camp.
