Mocs add VIP tents to Finley Stadium

-

For years, the hill under the scoreboard on the west end of Finley Stadium has been a popular spot for fans to sit and enjoy Chattanooga Mocs home football games. Relaxing on the grass and watching some outstanding college football is a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga is now enhancing that area for the 2017 season with the availability of eight tents on the concourse above the grass. Fans can purchase a tent, which include 12 tickets, on a season or single-game basis.

“We are excited to offer this new fan experience at all of our home games this season,” stated UTC Interim Director of Athletics Scott Altizer. “Andrew Horton and our external staff did a great job putting this together and we are grateful to Finley Stadium for helping to make this happen.

“These tents are located in a prime viewing area and provide an excellent location for groups, families or corporations to watch the game. Those that take advantage of this are really going to enjoy this new enhancement to the stadium.”

Each tent comes with 12 VIP credentials (tickets), electricity, television, cable TV and WiFi. Tables and chairs are provided and catering is available through Finley Stadium. All tents are 12’x12’ with the overall space 12’x18’.

The season price for the tent is $5,000 and includes Mocs Club tax deductible benefits. Signage is available for an additional $3,500 on a season basis. Fans interested in purchasing a tent on a season basis should contact Barry Kamen at (423) 425-5740 or Barry-Kamen@mocs.utc.edu).

Single-game tents go on sale along with single-game tickets in mid-August. Those are $1,500 per game and based on availability. Fans interested in the single-game option can contact Barry Kamen now (Barry-Kamen@mocs.utc.edu) to be added to a waiting list.

The new tents do not block general admission access to the hill. Fans with normal G.A. tickets still have space in the middle and below the areas reserved for the tent occupants.

UTC has five home games on the 2017 schedule, beginning with UT-Martin on Sept. 16 at 6 p.m. The season opener is set for Aug. 26 against Jacksonville State at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN.
