LFO salvages 6-AAA North win over North Murray

The LFO Lady Warriors endured something of a tough week last week, losing three of four matches, including two to rival Ringgold. However, there was a bright spot as their lone victory was a subregion win over North Murray.

LFO dropped the opening set to the Lady Mountainee­rs, 25-15, but the Red-and-White stormed back for two straight 25-18 wins to clinch the match.

Macey Gregg had seven kills, eight digs, four assists and three aces in the win. Miyah Foster recorded eight kills, seven assists and an ace. Symerel Bennett picked up four kills, a block and an assist, while Madi Graham had four aces to go with 15 assists.

Against Ringgold, the Lady Warriors dropped the 6-AAA North contest, 25-19, 25-4. Gregg had five kills, six aces, two assists and two digs. Bennett collected three kills, while Graham had three assists and a kill.

On Thursday in LaFayette, LFO lost to the seventh-ranked Lady Ramblers, 25-17 and 2515. Gregg had four kills, while Graham picked up five assists and four aces. Foster threw down five kills and Bennett had five kills, two assists, a block and an ace.

The final match of the week was a rematch with the Lady Tigers. LFO pushed hard, but ultimately fell by scores of 26-24 and 25-19.

Gregg had a big match with 14 kills, seven digs and three assists. Graham recorded seven assists and an ace. Foster had four kills, six assists, four digs and two aces, while Bennett finished up with three kills and two assists.

Also getting in the stat sheet was Jerriale Jackson (2 kills, 2 assists) and Gracen Hobbs (2 kills).

LFO began this week with a 9-25 overall mark and a 2-1 record in the subregion.
