Middle School Volleyball: Rossville battles in league play Middle School Volleyball: Unbeaten GL stays strong

The Rossville Lady Bulldogs dropped three league matches last week.

Against unbeaten Gordon Lee on Monday, Rossville lost by scores of 25-6 and 25-7.

Elizabeth Bagley had four kills, an ace and a dig for Rossville. BreeAnna Ledford finished with seven digs, two aces and a kill, while Elliana Rodriguez had one dig.

In the JV match, the Lady Trojans prevailed 25-21 and 25-21.

Rylee Waits had three aces for Rossville. Bryanna Galindo had two aces and a kill. Rilynn Strickland added two aces and two digs. Kacie Poarch had an ace, while Monica Valasquez and Sarah Graham both had one dig.

On Tuesday, Rossville fell to LaFayette, 25-10 and 2513, in the varsity match.

Ledford had three aces for the Lady Bulldogs, while Brylee Benson and Ivey Stargel each had one ace. Rodriguez and Bagley both finished with two kills, while Erica Culberson and McKensie Miller had one apiece.

The JV match saw the Lady Ramblers post a 25-19, 25-10 win.

Rylee Waits had two aces and two kills for Rossville. Galindo collected two aces and a kill. Poarch and Jessica Ramos both served up an ace, while Graham had one kill.

Finally, against Ringgold on Thursday, Rossville fell 25-12 and 25-13 in the varsity match.

The Gordon Lee Lady Trojans continued to roll through the NGAC schedule with a pair of victories last week.

On Monday, they took down Rossville, 25-6 and 25-7. Individual statistics for Gordon Lee were not provided as of press time.

In the JV match, there was a closer score, but the same winner as the Lady Trojans prevailed, 2521 and 25-21. Individual statistics for Gordon Lee were not provided as of press time.

The Lady Trojans made it a dozen straight victories without a loss after a 25-5, 25-7 victory over visiting Dade County on Thursday.

Brooklyn Hudson had eight aces, nine assists and two kills in the win, while Emoree Rogers added nine assists and five aces. Makayden Martin had three aces and two kills. Arilyn Lee and Mary Kate Roberts both had two kills and two aces, while Chloe Day finished with two aces.
