Four regional medical imaging facilities, including Battlefield Imaging in Fort Oglethorpe, rebrand as PrimeImaging
The locally owned and operated Battlefield Imaging (Fort Oglethorpe), Chattanooga Outpatient Center, Tennessee Imaging & Vein Center and Diagnostic PET/ CT of Chattanooga are coming together under the name PrimeImaging.
All four locations are owned and operated by the local radiologist group, Diagnostic Radiology Consultants (DRC).
“For more than 60 years, local residents have trusted the radiologists at DRC with their medical imaging needs. As we’ve grown to include four major locations, it was time to give all of our local centers the same name,” said Dr. Jim Busch, CEO/ president of DRC and PrimeImaging. “Many patients aren’t aware that, in most situations, they can pick their radiologists just like they can select their family doctor. Now, they can simply ask their referring physician to send them to PrimeImaging for fast results, the best technology and significant cost savings.”
Those in need of an MRI, PET/CT, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, diagnostic X-ray, mammography or CT scans can accesses experienced, highly trained physicians at PrimeImaging. Additionally, vein treatments are available at their Gunbarrel location.
“When people think of prime, it’s elevated; it is access to the best service,” said Dr. Busch. “That’s what they will find at any of our facilities. Now it’s more convenient than ever for our patients to access thoughtful, quality care at our centers.” Locations include: PrimeImaging Battlefield: 4700 Battlefield Pkwy., Suite 100, Ringgold, GA 30736

Diagnostic Radiology Consultants (DRC) was founded more than sixty years ago to provide radiology services the greater Chattanooga area. In 1992, Drs. Busch, Huntzinger, Nelson and Cureton contemplated a broader mission for the organization and renamed the group “Diagnostic Radiology Consultants, P.A.” Over the last decade, DRC has expanded its services throughout the tri-state area and has seen its professional radiology staff swell to its current number of 10 board certified radiologists. While the locations and technology have evolved, our commitment to offering the best service to our patients across the Tennessee Valley and North Georgia has stayed steadfast. The group renamed its four locations to PrimeImaging in the fall of 2017. For more information, visit PrimeImaging.com.
