Robert Sewell Nealon Jr., 73, of Rossville, Ga.

Robert Sewell Nealon Jr., 73, of Rossville, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 13, 2017 in a local hospital.

Mr. Nealon was born in Rockwood, Tennessee on March 8, 1944 to the late Robert Sewell Sr. and Pearl Rosetta Nealon and has spent the greater part of his life in the Rossville area. He was a member of First Presbyteri­an Church in Rockwood, Tennessee and was also a veteran of the United States Army from 1962 until 1964 where he was a tank gunner. He retired as a supervisor from Crystal Springs in Chickamaug­a with over 30 years of service. Mr. Nealon enjoyed boating, fishing, going to yard sales, camping and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Lynn Nealon.

Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Carolyn Charlene Bowls Nealon, sons, Robert Sewell Nealon III, Erick Nealon and Tommy Nealon, several grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren.

SarahAnne Elizabeth Parnell, 15 days, fell asleep and woke up in the arms of Jesus on Saturday, November 11, 2017.

She is preceded in death by her grandfathe­r, Michael Blair, greatgrand­parents, James (Patricia) Carroll, Sonny (Peggy) Hulsey and Robert (Roberta) Parnell.

Survivors include her parents, Daniel Parnell and Kayla Herndon, three brothers, Kaylen Herndon, Charles and Jeremiah Parnell and a large loving family.

Graveside service: 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 14, 2017 at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park with Pastor Joe Gill officiatin­g.

Carrie Bell Pierce, 86, Ringgold, died Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at her residence.

She was a native of North Georgia and a member of Salem Valley Baptist Church in Ringgold. Mrs. Pierce enjoyed sewing, quilting, family and was a Christian lady.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Bertha Pierce, and brother, Chester Dyer.

Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Dennis Pierce, daughters, Donna McKaig, Denise (Randy) Kinsey, Deborah (Michael) Holsomback, Sheila (Tony) Osbourn; four grandchild­ren; nine greatgrand­children; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services: 3 p.m. Friday in the South Crest Chapel with Rev. Don Self and Rev. Sam Dillard officiatin­g.

Interment: Salem Valley Baptist Church Cemetery.

Patrick Daniel Bunn, 35, Hull, Ga.

Patrick Daniel Bunn, age 35 of Hull, Georgia (formerly of LaFayette, GA) passed away Saturday November 11, 2017.

Patrick graduated from LaFayette High School and The University of Georgia. Patrick was named Mr. LaFayette High School for the class of 2000 and loved his classmates dearly.

He was a field service representa­tive for Pilgrims Pride in Athens, Georgia for the past 11 years and a member at Union Baptist Church where he enjoyed being a member of the Men’s Sunday School class.

Patrick was an accomplish­ed outdoorsma­n and enjoyed hunting deer, turkey and all types of fishing. Patrick also enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and his dog Cricket.

He was preceded in death by his grandparen­ts, Ovid and Vessie Bunn, and Ozer and Jean Daniel.

He is survived by his loving wife, Keri Bunn; son Braxton Bunn and daughter Braylee Bunn; parents Mike and Ann Bunn; brother Paul (Kelli) Bunn; niece Susanna Kate Bunn; nephews Taylor and Parker Bunn; several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive. No interment. Visitation: (2-3:45pm) and Memorial Service (4pm) on Wednesday November 15, 2017 at LaFayette First United Methodist Church, LaFayette, Georgia. Reverend Malcolm Harris officiatin­g.

Barbara Gail Christol Young, age 70, of LaFayette passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017.

Preceded in death by her husband, Allen Young; and mother, Nell Hamby Christol.

Survived by father, William “Bill” Christol of Flintstone; daughters, Christol O’Neal of LaFayette, and Lori (Frank) Carr of Monroe, Ga.; son, Ben Chapman of Birmingham, AL.; stepson, Will Young (Jennifer) of Sault Ste. Marie, MI; stepdaught­ers, Darlene Dedmon (Kenny) of Ringgold, GA, Carla Quinn (Rob) of Red Bank, TN, and Melinda Mass (David) of East Ridge, TN; sisters, Pat Fuquea, of Flintstone, Ga., and Lynn (Rev. David) Jessie of Rock Cave, W.V.; grandchild­ren, Fallon, Whitney, and Alex; five great grandchild­ren, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Charles “Charlie” Martin Huggins, 39, LaFayette, Ga.

Charles “Charlie” Martin Huggins, age 39, of LaFayette passed away Thursday, November 09, 2017.

Charlie was owner and operator of Grass Master Lawn Care Service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of LaFayette, where he enjoyed singing in the church choir and serving as a deacon and R.A. leader. Charlie was an outdoorsma­n who enjoyed deer hunting and coaching the Little Ramblers baseball team.

He was preceded in death by his grandparen­ts, Waymond “Sonny” Huggins, and Annette Martin Huggins, and grandfathe­r, Charlie Franks; father-in-law, and mother-in-law, John and Lynda Andrews.

Charlie is survived by his loving wife, Christy Andrews Huggins; his twin boys, Jud and Sawyer Huggins; father, Marty Huggins; mother Ruth (Johnny) Bass; brothers, Brad (Sarah) Huggins, and Ben Huggins; grandmothe­r, Dorothy Franks; nieces Anna Kate Huggins and Abbie Huggins; and nephew Andrew Huggins; brother-in-law, Craig Andrews; several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.

Funeral service: 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of LaFayette with Dr. Warren Moorhead officiatin­g.

Interment: in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Kevin Jackson Hopkins, 46, LaFayette, Ga.

Kevin Jackson Hopkins, age 46, of LaFayette passed away Thursday, November 9, 2017.

He worked for Shaw Industries for 26 years. Kevin was devoted to his family and loved them dearly. Known for his wheeling and dealing, he was loved by everyone.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Hopkins and Peggy Adams Hopkins.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Dee Hopkins of LaFayette; daughters, Angel (Jeremy Wallace) Brown, Paige Hopkins, and Cherish (Aaron Ackerman) Hopkins all of LaFayette; grandchild­ren, Hunter Barrett and Emily Barrett; sister, Jennifer (Jacob) Lawrence of LaFayette; brother, Randy Hopkins of LaFayette; and several nieces and nephews.

p.m. Sunday, November 12, 2017 in CrestLawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Ruth Elizabeth Herrell, 78, of Trion, went home to be with

her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 14, 2017.

She was of the Baptist Faith. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, grandmothe­r and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Lula Akins; grandson, Danny L. Magness, Jr.; two sisters and one brother.

Survivors include her loving husband of 56 years, Charles Herrell, Sr.; children, Michael Herrell, Elizabeth (Kenny) Lawson; Debbie (Eric) Rice, Charles Jr. (Kimberly) Herrell. grandchild­ren, Heather Vance, Chris Magness, Tiffany Herrell, Wendy Goins, Blake Herrell

and Zachary Rice, Kelsey Curtis, Adam Curtis; eleven greatgrand­children; several nieces and nephews.
