The Generals were outscored 4629 in the first half on Thursday night and it got no better from there as they lost to the Red Raiders before a packed house in the opening round.

Cole Wilcox had 20 points for Heritage, but he was the only General in double figures. Luke Grant and Will Allen were next on the team with six points each.

With Wilcox on the bench, the Generals put up a tremendous fight against Ooltewah in a consolation bracket game on Friday.

Heritage hit eight 3-pointers as a team and went 14-of-19 at the free throw line, but their efforts were not enough as they dropped a decision to the Owls.

Grant and Allen both connected on three 3-pointers. Grant finished with a team-high 19 points, followed by 18 points from Allen. Adam Thacker added 13 points.

Wilcox had a sore ankle and was held out of the game as a precaution.
