outside of the back row.

Up top, striker Brianna Smotherman is the team’s leading returning scorer. Two more versatile players, Austin Brookshire and Jillian Roberts, round out the senior class. Brookshire will deliver the ball from the midfield, while Roberts will pair up with Smotherman at striker.

Sydnee Newton has already signed with Bryan College, while Brisendine has already signed with Truett McConnell. Robinson also expects Smotherman to choose a college team in the near future.

“The awesome thing about these 10 seniors is that they could all play multiple positions,” Robinson explained. “They all have good attitudes about playing wherever they are needed. It’s really a great group of girls.”

Robinson said to also keep an eye out for a talented sophomore class, who got plenty of solid playing time as rookies a year ago. Two of those standouts are another pair of sisters in Alyssa and Anna Boley. Alyssa is expected to be a mainstay on the back line, while Anna will be back at striker, looking to add to her scoring numbers.

“I think we’ll have plenty of success if we mesh well and click,” the coach added. “We just have to believe in ourselves. I think we have what it takes to win, but we just have to believe in what we have together.”
