Tigers on a tear
a two-run homer that staked Ringgold to an early lead that they would not relinquish.
The Tigers put up a four-spot in the top of the second inning. Ty Jones singled and Brayden Broome would later reach on an error, while a couple of passed balls would get the runs home. Wyatt Tennant later drew a one-out walk before Camp blasted a shot off of Calhoun starter Davis Allen.
Camp would add an insurance run in the top of the fourth, singling home Tennant, who had drawn a two-out walk before stealing second. Tennant was issued three walks in the game.
Three Ringgold errors would lead to a run for Calhoun in the bottom of the fifth and the Jackets would add another run in the sixth on the Tigers’ fourth error of the night, but Andre Tarver, who doubled earlier in the game, would lead off the seventh inning with a solo shot of his own to cap the scoring.

award to winner.
Finalists for this year’s Vonn Bell Award are Markeith Montgomery, Jalyn Shelton, Jacob Mariakis, Whitney Boehm, Haley Sandridge and Katie Carruth.
“I think (the Vonn Bell Award) is going to be a great thing,” Hughes added. “It will be like the Ridgeland
Heisman (Trophy) for male and female athletes and that will be very special as well.”
