It was a very successful past few days for the Heritage Middle School Lady Generals, who picked up three big victories, including a league win over a county rival.

Heritage scored an 8-0 win over New Hope Middle School last Friday before claiming a come-from-behind 2-1 win over Dalton this past Monday.

Brooke Fairchild had three combined goals in the two wins. Bailey Needham had two goals and dished out three total assists. McKenna Bialecke and Zandy Burton scored twice with Bialecke picking up an assist. Mady Terry had a goal and two assists, while Molly Cason and Emma Tennyson both had one assist.

Jordan Leonard had three total saves.

Jalen Glover got things going for the Warriors (2-0) on Thursday with a shot from nearly 30 yards away and that got in under the crossbar. Glover later assisted Domingo Marrowquin on a shot that found the left upper 90 and defensive midfielder Al Hastic later sealed the win with what head coach Traye Carpenter described as a “cannon ball shot” following a throw-in assist from Cooper Kirk.

“It was a great allaround defensive effort from the entire team,” Carpenter added. “The game was very physical and intense, but the result was worth it.”

LaFayette (220) had a 41 from Langford, again the day’s low medalist. Barber shot of 56 and Woods had a 60. The Ramblers only had three available players, so they were forced to accept a filler score of 63 to complete their team total.
