EDUCATION · The monthly meeting of the

Walker County Historical Society

will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 22, at the

Welcome Center, 309 North Main Street, La Fayette.

The program will be a presentati­on by

great-great grandson of Spencer Marsh, builder of the Marsh House and the Marsh Mercantile on the La Fayette Square (which just collapsed and demolished) and great grandson of Mary Ann Marsh Allgood and A. P. Allgood. Allgood and Marsh, with one partner, founded the Trion Mill and Village.

Wright has written a book about the textile industry in Northwest Georgia and the influence of the MarshAllgo­od-Cooper families on the economy and culture of our region.

Dementia Caregiver Support Group
