Ringgold adds two more wins

The Ringgold Lady Tigers got nine points each from Emily Love and Cady Helton in a 40-27 victory over the Gordon Lee last Tuesday. Aubrey Lakin had eight points in the win for Ringgold.

Riley Shirley scored seven points to lead Gordon Lee. Dallas Wagoner and Kaitlyn Wagoner had six points each, while Emma Phillips finished with five.

Two days later, Ringgold rallied from a 13-8 deficit at halftime to beat Saddle Ridge, 25-24, in Ringgold. The Blue-andWhite trailed for all but the final two minutes of the game when they finally took the lead at the free throw line before holding on for the victory.

Hannah Scott had nine points for the Lady Tigers, followed by Love with eight, Allie Massengale with six and Helton with two.

Vianca Segurra had 13 points to pace the Lady Mustangs. She also added three steals. Lexi Baker finished with six points, 13 rebounds and three steals, followed by Haynie Gilstrap with four points and nine boards. Fantasja Barber added one point, four rebounds and two steals. Sara Pendley chipped in with three rebounds and a pair of steals, while Haven Yancy collected five boards.

The Lady Mustangs began last week with a 42-29 win over Chattanoog­a Valley as Segurra hit two 3- pointers and finished with 16 points. Baker scored all eight of her points in the first quarter.

Gilstrap had six points for Saddle Ridge, who scored 18 points in the opening period and led 30- 13 at intermissi­on. Barber and Yancy had four points each, while Pendley and Kamryn Johnson had two points apiece.

Miriam Gaines finished with nine points for CVMS. Madison Lennon had eight points and Haile Thompson added seven in the loss.

Lakeview got 15 points from Christina Collins in a 54-10 win over Rossville last Tuesday. Julie Shore added 12 points and Sydney O’neal had eight.

Individual scoring for Rossville had not been provided as of press time.

Heritage picked up a win over Lafayette last Tuesday as Macie Collins had eight points in the season-opening victory. Alexis Faulkenber­ry had seven points and Katy Thompson finished with five.

Michaela Baker had two points for the Lady Ramblers.

The Lady Generals went on to defeat Chattanoog­a Valley, 45-10, in a game in Flintstone on Thursday.

Collins led the way with 13 points for Heritage, while Lauren Mock finished with 10.

Gaines had three points for the Lady Eagles.
